Thanks WVU. I only have about 100 so far, but since the tax stamp came in I set it up as a SBR with the stock and cant wait to put more through it.
I set up a trust through a lawyer based in Virginia, and he helped me submit the paper work online. Very good service and answers all the questions I can think of.
I can give you his name via PM or post it here, not sure if that kind of advertisement is ok or not, let me know.
As you may know the law changed and I think you have till 7/15/16 (not sure of the exact date) to file papers for a NFA item in a trust with out having everyone in the trust be fingerprinted.
Waiting for my forward grip to come in and I can post pics of the almost completed build.
AR Build
Re: AR Build
Got it all done, hope to go to the range this weekend. I think I mounted my magnifier back to far? Let me know if it is supposed to be closer.

Re: AR Build
I'm my personal experience, butting any type of sights on the rail is a horrible idea. The rail moves in every direction when varying pressure is applied (the presence of a bi-pod, holding the rail, or the lack thereof) and it oscillates upon firing. This means that the optic will never hold zero and the further out you shoot the more obvious it becomes. The further out to the front of the rail it moves, the worse it gets.
I would recommend moving the sight to the upper frame, lining the front/leading edge of the mount as close to flush with the front of the frame, but without extending over the rail system. Then, put the magnifier as close to the sight as possible without the two actually touching.
That should give you the best repeatable accuracy, access to the charging handle, and adjustable length of pull.

Re: AR Build
I have been wanting to build an AR for a while now. BUT , I know I will go overboard and would most likely have about 4K in it to get it just like I would want it. So with all the other stuff I have going on I think I will have to hold off for a bit . Maybe it will be a good project for next winter .

Re: AR Build
My M4 is standing me about $4,700 and the 300 BO is over $5k. The trick is to not do it all at once. I pieced them together over a couple years.
