18 degrees and in the process of getting 3-5 more inches. About ready to stab myself to death with an icicle.

Dad was 40 when I came on the scene. I never understood why Dad wasn't down with all us kids' winter fun. I'll be 50 this April, w/10yo twins... The Jan/Feb obits are double and triple normal... I can finally see winter through my father's eyes.

Time can sure change one's perspective.

You know? SCREW IT!

I'm going camping. Cannot wait any longer. I'll put down an extra tarp on the bottom, and bring a wool blanket for the inside to keep the cold down.

3 more inches this morning. I'm all out of epithets.

Optafuel is a high-tech startup that was piloting a plant to make methanol out of biomass. They were in a building that belonged to the Wise County Econ Development Authority. It collapsed last night. I'm afraid they'll just fold up and quit, which will cost us some high-paid jobs. Several buildings in the area have collapsed. I shudder to think what will happen if it rains again before all this melts.

About 4" of very wet snow here and still coming down. Global warming be damned!

About a half-inch in Rockingham county. And they closed the schools for it. I've never seen such a bunch of pussies as this county's school department.

They rarely take, Randy, but at least I feel like I'm doing something proactive! If sprouts start showing they usually get nipped by late frosts.

Need me some of those mini tunnel thingys... :farmer:

You can see how much ice was on my car this morning, and it was frozen so hard I couldn't scrape it. We now have about 4" of snow on top of that and it's snowing pretty hard. They say we might get as much as 8". We've got widespread flooding and a lot of folks without power left over from the previous blizzard. We didn't have more than 1/3 of our folks able to get to work today. And its supposed to get down to about 10 degrees tonight. God, what a mess! Just what we needed. I think the next time I hear the word "snow" I'm going to puke.
