12" on the deck - where I can leave the yardstick and see it from inside. it was over 16" in the front of the house on the driveway - I guess it was blowing around some last night. Our town guys are knocking it out - there's at least one lane open on my road now. Not that I really want to go out there anytime soon :coffee:

I just shoveled my driveway, and though I didn't measure, I would say 18" here in Front Royal....give or take.

Thankfully, I front loaded my hours this week, so with the OPM closure today and possibly tomorrow, I get a five day weekend. :yahoo:

About 10' in Lake Ridge with higher drifts. Just cleared the driveway, road and walk ways.

Sh't Palladin, if the woman hadn't said something about it being Valentine's day? I wouldn't be here RIGHT NOW!

My whole winter camping crew contemplated going TUESDAY, just to set up. We have 3 cords of hard wood, tarps, and plenty to haul in for food.

I would have been just giddy to be in a foot of snow for camping!

Luckily, work called, and said "um... no. stay home, you have on-call duty anyway."

Great! Kids getting cabin fever, the woman is stir crazy, and I have to still work... Woods, I shoulda f'cking gone to the woods.

Well, for those who are interested, I have finally made it back to VA. 95N wasn't too bad, until the 30 yardstick. It got progressively and rapidly worse from there.

But, I am safe. There is a hotel and a Cstore right around the corner.

Beer thirty, for me! Bout time, too. Ain't had a drink since I hit the road two days after Christmas.

I wound up sleeping in there with the kids... should seen that one coming. We had a queen air mattress :download: in there that worked just perfect. And I was so dog tired I could have slept anywhere. I paid for yesterday's efforts today, though . I've got some Devil's Backbone here to hep with my sore joints.

We used a 17gal muck tub for the blocks on the first three layers, then 5gal buckets to form the blocks for the dome and doorway. And a whole lotta packing. :drill:
