Ha ha ha. Old Willys Jeep would suit me fine, actually. So would Fords version of it.
An old CJ, though, is easier to find. And probably more affordable.

Okay folks let's try and get a date set for this get together
The weekends in June are as follows
31 May - 1 June
7 - 8 June
14 - 15 June
21 - 22 June
28 - 29 June
My Daughter Graduates on the 14th of June, so I will not be able to make it that weekend but all others are open for me. If we can get this locked down then we can start making plans. I will need an approximate head count for those that will be camping so that we can reserve one of the camp areas. I will try in the meantime to get with the Cove to make sure they have an open area that we all will fit in

May 26th is the first anniversary of my father in-law passing. The only way I can go and not look like a selfish jerk is to go as far after May 26th as possible.
Please don't make plans around that... but I will watch the thread. I would say June 21st on and I'm in for just about any date.

Yeap I plan on getting in Friday night as well. I am hoping to get Camp V or VI for all of us. I think that is all Tent camping and I am not sure about electric and water as from what they say Electric is only in camp 1.

Hey all; Long time no see.... been spending all my free time away from computer out in the fields. Now that hunting season is officially over, guess it is time to come back in here, LOL. Anyways, I am still up for this idea as well... as long as money permits. Do not see a problem with it as of right now, and any of those weekends would work for me; but would prefer one of the later weekends if possible. Would give me some more time to save up a little more cash for the ammo and such. I do plan on spending quite a bit of time at the range. Also, is the range just for rifles, or do they allow shotguns as well.... maybe if they do allow shotguns, do a little friendly competition kinda like a "turkey shoot" type of thing among those of us in attendance. Maybe we could all chip up a few bucks (say maybe like $5.00 or so, and depending how many are there, winner take all or split it among the top 2 or 3).

@Diggs27
The range guides say that all weapons have to be legal in the state of Virginia so yeah they allow shotguns. It looks like you might need to start a new thread to get your Turkey shoot set up. The Cove does have a range official on site and we can see if they will let us section off the far corner for the TS. We will also have to contend with the General public as well out there. the shooting range pass is $15 for the day.

Any weekend works for me as long as I have a month's notice...
Also if anyone is still thinking about T-Shirts, I have a friend in Richmond that owns 360 Graphics. He makes shirts for all the marathons and music festivals and would be glad to make as many as we need. I would need to know how many we need, and how many colors will be in the print to get a price, but I am pretty sure he has the best price vs quality... in Richmnond at least.

I would love to get another run of T-shirts made, but I can't pony up the cash up-front myself like I did last time...will need some folks willing to pre-order... What's the minimum order size from your guy at 360 graphics? Can he do a run of 100 shirts? Maybe we should start a different thread.

Okay everyone I have sent the request off to the Cove and I have asked for the availability of the 21-22 June weekend. Based on the responses I have estimated our size to be 20-30 I hope we excede this number and with that I have also asked about the availability of campground V (Water and Electric only) this site has 8 camp sites and if we need more camp VII has 7 more sites.
I have also asked for a price breakdown of the following:
• Camping Friday and Saturday night and range time for Saturday and Sunday
• Camping for Saturday night and range time for Saturday and Sunday
• Camping for Friday night and range time for Saturday
• Range time for Saturday and Sunday
• Range time for Saturday
Once I get the rates I will post them and then we can proceed from there with the reservations.
It will be good to see everyone and I am looking forward to having a good time.

Downside of trucking; you miss 90%of what happens.

I'm excited. Haven't been camping in years due to health issues. I'm doing a trip May 3-4 in PA, so by the time this happens, I should be able to remeber everythink I forgot. Does that make any sense at all? LoL
SHMIV, bummed you can't make it. Hopefully another trip develops. We'll take lots of pics and video.
