Because besides firearms, most of us know some pretty SPECTACULAR attorneys that are pro-gun... and on speed dial.

Hey rev, can you pm me a number for a spectacular attorney, that I can add to my speed dial. =) I need to add one just to be safe.

thanks a bunch hun.

While I have not had to deal with a firearms-related case, I've had a great experience on other matters with Andy Protogyrou in Norfolk. He's on the VCDL list. I would definitely go back to him -- a real professional and simply a good person.

If I were to oppose, I certainly wouldn't post it on the internet, lol. :hysterical:

Like I said in the original message - there would be smart remarks. Everyone must think for themselves....when they come and it will happen, you must ask yourself those questions now and prepare for the worst.

So many think this is a game.

Well...hope you all have enought quarters for extra time.

Hex,

It's not that we want to be snarky... well, maybe we do, lol... but more importantly, everyone has something to lose. You asked if we would oppose the government. To reply in the affermative, even in jest, could prove to have rather inconvenient consequences.

and even more so, if I WERE to oppose the govt, i would never DOCUMENT my plan to do so in an open setting like...oh say... a forum.

And yet you have not answered your own question...

HEX, will you surrender your weapons if these laws are passed???

I will answer the question - - - NO I WILL NOT SURRENDER THEM. I paid for them and to surrender private property without restituation - - -is a theft on the part of the government.

Register them - - NO; the registration in many countries leads to the government taxing the gun owners into giving them up. Review the original NAZI policies for gun owners in Germany. These were the original documents that were used to draft the US policies. They are still being reviewed by policians as valid and useful. (Trust me)

FORUM? Who is using a real name on this site? Did you all really give true and accurate information for contacting each other....that is highly doubtful.

My question was not meant to spark answers that offend many of the private minded bloggers....but to make you think really hard about some of the bloggs on this site. The answers that are given and the sound of tru patriotism on many these pages gives the read the impression of a nation that will rise and defend our freedoms. (Keep yipping - if you want to run with the big dogs; get off the porch).

If there are so many PATRIOTS out there....why are you not crying for change and making a difference. The governors office has not heard from that many people on this issue. His response was that "if the people of the commonwealth want a change; then they need to speak out...."

Me - - I am a cancerous leach in the belly of the big bad federal system. Speaking my mind in the hallways and building of the capital to those that will hear and can make a difference. Proudly displaying my thoughts and opinions to those that will listen.

I believe that the people of this country - -- and I have spent a lot of time around these 50 states for the past few decades watching the freedoms circle the drain - - -just do not care. You are happy in you lifes...what is freedom; we allow those in office to commit crimes and we say - -it is not my problem. Well - - - now it is NOT my problem; within six months most will regret not fighting for these freedoms more. Wait and see.

If you said something on a forum that would warrant the govt to go after you, none of the contact info you register with would be of any consequence.

Just sayin'.

Hex, buddy, I gotta tell you..... You reek of federal essence. You may not be a paid forum runner that was hired by the Feds, but man, you sure sound like one.

If that's not the case(and I hope it isn't) then more power to you brother. The script you're reading from is heartfelt for sure. Might better smooth it out some more though if you want folks to take you seriously. Oh, and you've not been a forum member long enough or attended any kind of anything for anyone to be at ease with sharing any kind of information with you just yet. Now, it'd be good on ya if you stick to small things first, get your post count up, gain some reputation, attend something sponsored by the forum, and try not to sound so( what's the word?) federalish....

The air is thick with distrust right now. Understand that and you'll understand the smartassness of the replies you're getting.

Having typed that on my mobile device and seeing as how I cannot change my signature on this forum with a mobile device, I'll state right now that all of my "guns & ammo" have found new homes with the exception of a .22 rifle, an airgun, and some BBs. Hell, I don't even have ammo. I feel so good knowing I'm so much safer without my guns now.

:)

Until that day comes, no-one really knows what they will do. There are too many variables and no one knows what it will cost them. If they make registration mandatory, are you willing to give everything up to become a felon by not registering? What if they kick your door down at 3AM and shoot first, ask questions later...is that worth not registering? The anti-gunners, statist politicians in general, are very good at boiling the frog slowly. That's one reason we push so hard against regulation, but the reality is that we already comply with a huge number of regulations at all levels of government, defacto partial registration through From 4473, actual registration for NFA items, etc. Yet, none of use are shooting back.

The reality is most people talk big, but as long as the infringement is gradual, nothing will happen. CA passed a ban/registration and not much happened. Sure there was backlash from Barrett and the like, but overall people complied. The next generation of Californians won't think twice about the new regulations as it will just be a fact of life; they don't know just how much freedom they've already lost, any more than most of us understand the freedom crushing NFA.

NY now has a ban and we're all going to watch and see what happens. The first generation of Americans ignored the NFA, the second generation complied during the 68' amnesty.

Retorical question:

How many of you have a non registered, non stamped automatic weapon? I bet not many though I don't know as I'd expect you all NOT to chime in. Still we are a generation, as a whole and not just forum people, that believes civilians shouldn't have them. Personally? I honestly don't have one. I don't want to see the inside of a Federal prison. Still I think I should be able to own one without them costing tens of thousands of dollars and enough paper work to break a goats back. A dirt bag in the Congo can have one but I can't?

My point is the same as some others have made. Each one of these laws makes sheepel dependent on the government.

At some point there has to be a line you don't cross. If there's not, you just have to keep backing up. Some things are worth dying for, God, Country, Constitution, Family, You're God given rights. Who wants to live under a dictatorship anyway.

Maybe for you, and that's ok if that's what you want. But not for me. I'd rather live one day as a free man than a thousand years with the boot heel of tyranny threatening to crush my throat.

Well that sounds pleasant and nice. You just being a little ole sheep chomping on your grass. Your shepherd takes you out daily and watches over you. Protects you from the wolves. His helpful sheep dogs making sure you know where to go and what to do. It's nice to be taken care of. You may even be allowed to breed and have some children. Won't that be nice.

Course that could all change when on of the shepherds dogs keeps bighting at your legs. Your sweet heart is sold to a shepherd two counties over. You've been castrated as you aren't producing as much wool as some of the other males. Next you find out your kids have been sold as yearling meat. Course you do so as your at the butchers as well. Probably to be sold as dog meat.

See there are problems with your fantasy land.

Out here in the coalfields od SouthWest Virginia, we melted all our guns down to make picks and shovels so we could mine a 10,000-tom block of coal. We aren't allowed to burn it anymore, but we got a special waiver for this project. The Obama administration is gonna haul it out to South Dakota so they can put it on top of Mount Rushmore and use it to add President Barry to the monument.
