Virginia is not only not immune; Virginia is already infected.

"The measure would also enshrine a system through which mental health professionals would be required to report to officials when they believe their patients may harm themselves or others. In such cases, police would be allowed to confiscate any guns owned by a potentially dangerous patient."
...............................

So the same medical establishment that largely already opposes guns will be in a position to decide someone "may" harm themselves or others and then they have no second amendment rights? That is so wrong in so many ways it makes me sick at my stomach. Time for a general boycott of New York and all people, products and any other things connected to it. They have just become a totalitarian state - to gun owners. They're acting like Cuba, so traet them like Cuba.

Not possible, upstate NY is dependent upon welfare from Albany collected via taxes from the NY metro area.

Once you get north past Orange county west of the hudson or Putnam county on the east of it things get very poor very fast. Buffalo, Rochester, Utica, Syracuse, etc haven't managed the last 50 years well.

I predict this may cause a few people on the fence about moving to do so, but most New Yorkers aren't going to notice or care.

This is the state that sends undercover tax authority agents to make sure bagel shops collect the additional tax for selling sliced bagels. Keep that in mind.

Bagels. That's a good example of the problem, come to think of it. I don't know whether they F*cked up a biscuit or a donut, but aeither way, if they can do it THAT BAD, they just ain't right.

I have to defend the bagel here... the mass marketedglom of dough they serve down here has nothing on a true New York bagel; it is neither a doughnut nor a biscut (though as a former northerner I freely admit the North knows nothign about biscuts); but a heavenly breakfast food all it's own.

Don't get me wrong as a former New Yorker I will freely say the state of my birth has it's head firmly up its ass; but the bagel ain't part of it.

Wut. Bagels are freaking good. As Rip said, most of the time you get crap bagels in the South. A properly made bagel is wonderful.

So, which state is going to be next? Maryland? Mass? CT?

Makes we want to start an AR15 manufacturing company with a silly name, just to get it on the list.
