Class I'm helping to teach in a few weeks.

Crap! That is the day before I have to travel for work. My wife would shove that rifle so far up my ass not even TSA during a grope search would find it. When is the next one you will be involved in?

I'm game for a meet up. Unfortunately, the private land is what we need the most. I have a friend who's father owns acres in Bull Run but I haven't been able to convince him to let me shoot on it… I wish I had the $$ to buy some acres west of Leesburg. If we can get this together I'll contribute some goodies as well.

As far as the reloading class, I'm marking it on my calendar as it's right in my backyard.

I agree that the 300blk would be more accurate than 45acp because of the bullet shape. Subsonic rounds would be for more HD with the supersonic more for hunting. I just love the fact that it's on an AR platform, quiet suppressed (subsonic), and can still have the knockdown power over distance.

I wanted to ask if you shoot both suppressed and unsuppressed out of your 9" AAC Upper and if you have a lower specially configured for that upper.

Its a really decent class, and having access to the instructor who wrote the course gives you a lot more insight into many of the why's about how the class it put together. Even after being a reloader for 20 years, I was surprised at how many little holes in my knowledge it filled in the first time I took it as a student. So even if you are a semi-experienced reloader, there is good info to be learned from the class.

I have run semi/super suppressed/loud. AAC recommends a H2 buffer, and it has suited all the loads I've run, so there has been no need for a specially configured dedicated lower.
