Wondered how long it would take someone to bring it was strippers instead of stripers.

Way to go, Jay. Someone finally beat Gary to the punch. No doubt he will still insert his wit...OakRidgeStars wrote:gorknoids wrote:Ive been stripper fishing on the Bridge Tunnel and have routinely caught crabs on the first and second islands!

Sorry... that was too funny to pass up
Here's were we went from stripers to strippers. I was waiting to see if anyone would catch it. You guys are a little slow.Moccasin wrote:I've tried but in years of fishing it we've only caught 1 stripper. I fish for largemouth, anything else I catch is an accident. Would be a good place for an OC picnic BUT IIRC out illustrious governor has decreed that OC in a state park is a no-no, CC is fine though.allingeneral wrote:Not to get the thread off course, but do you fish stripers on Lake Anna? I have wanted to fish the lake, but never have gotten around to it. Sounds like another good place for an OC picnic!

I've gotta ask...wouldn't that be considered assault/battery?
MD LE are a different breed due to state laws. Once you get arrested the state usually takes over and they often press charges regardless of the situation. The LE seem to act on behalf of that mentality and not in the interest of law abiding citizens. One more reason I left and wont go back. I lived across the street from a deputy sheriff and heard some real horror stories.dmharvey wrote:I would have responded to his final comment by asking, "Why? Is that how you normally approach law-abiding citizens?"

How? How could he have done that? He was out of his jurisdiction and you would have been under no "legal" obligation to even humor him."You know, when I came down here to check on you, instead of just asking to speak with you, I could have put you prone on the ground and cuffed you until the Sheriff's deputy got here.
I cant wait to see it but I somehow think it will never happen.allingeneral wrote:Gary - no response from the Maryland Transportation Authority.
I'm in Prince William County, near Quantico, relocated from Alexandria. I hacurrently recieve the VA-Alert emails, and the upcoming OC picnic is still a long way for me. We need to have one in Alexandria, maybe Fort Ward Park. I wonder how that would go.OakRidgeStars wrote:Where are you located, 40shooter?. There is a VCDL picnic this weekend in Salem. I'll have to check the VCDL calendar for upcoming events.
If haven't signed up for the VCDL's VA-ALERT emails, what are you waiting for?. Go to http://www.vcdl.org/static/va-alert.html to sign up now!
Hopefully, we'll see you at a future event.

Because it's worth it.
Does anyone else think this is something that can be put into action in the future? Is it worth it? Is there any interest? Pros & cons?zephyp wrote:Young and I will attend with guns in hand er uh holster.40shooter wrote:We need to have one in Alexandria, maybe Fort Ward Park. I wonder how that would go.
