Re: Current favorite firearm to shoot?
Hi, my name is Mindflayer and I have a problem.
I bought my wife a Sig P238 last year as an anniversary gift. I've been shooting it lately. Sweet pistol - so good my buddy traded a crate of Mosin ammo and a rifle for one. My wife is still annoyed most women's pants don't have pockets deep enough to carry but I can do it no problems from shorts to jeans.
Sig P320 - great trigger, feels great.
Tavor carbine - so much fun to shoot.
Been shooting my XDM more again lately - while it doesn't carry as close as the M&P, that Springer Precison trigger is very nice.
I have a fever and the only prescription is more ammo.

Sounds like you need a shoot-off. May the best weapon win.

I love them all, but I became a 1911 convert a few years ago. If you know 1911 people, they are born again.

I used to think that a 1911 would be too large for my hands, then I fired one that belonged to a friend of mine. Turns out, I liked it. I'll have to get one, some day.

All I had for years for my carry gun was my full sized 1911.SHMIV wrote:I used to think that a 1911 would be too large for my hands, then I fired one that belonged to a friend of mine. Turns out, I liked it. I'll have to get one, some day.
I was amazed at how FAT the grip is on my .40 cal CZ RAMI with its double stack magazine.
The same is true of my current favorite carry pistol which is a 9mm Stoeger Cougar.
(15 rounds of 9mm are cheaper than 8 rounds of .45 ACP these days)
And I have large hands with long fingers.

Rifle: M1 Garand. Its a cat at that breathes fire! Wonderful rifle.
Handgun: Ruger SR1911 - you only understand when you become a 1911 convert!
Shotgun: Beretta Silver Pigeon II - Soooo perfect fit and just perfect all around!

Re: Current favorite firearm to shoot?
I really enjoy shooting my friend's TAC15 crossbow. Makes almost no noise so we can practice for an hour without disturbing neighbors or his kid, yet is incredibly accurate and powerful. Bullets fragment, but those bolts just keep going -- one went through both sides of a 55gal oil can he had setup -- oops.
Re: Current favorite firearm to shoot?
I shoot a lot of my firearms. It's hard to pick one.
For 22 LR, it is still my Ruger Mark II with a Volquartsen Trigger kit and Ultradot Match Dot.
For 45 ACP, my Ed Brown 1911s.
But right now, I'm having a great time doing 44 Magnum reloads with my S&W Performance Center 629 Hunter, 7.5" barrel and Aimpoint H1.
