How many states is Goode on the ballot of? Can he possibly win by electoral vote? No, he can't.
Which, of course, makes me wonder how many other states will have independents on their ballots that no one has ever heard of... (outside of the independent candidates respective states, that is)

I can't speak for the other 3rd party candidates, but Gary Johnson is currently on the ballot in 47 states and fighting Republicant opposition in court in the last three states.

It's possible for him to win so he should be involved in the national debates so more people can get to know him.

I commend that sage advice to you all.
Yes, but to pull a Clinton, that depends on what the definition of IS is. :hysterical:

What IS is liberty being destroyed at every turn by both parties. What IS is the state is gradually taking over every aspect of personal life. What IS is both parties supporting the triumph of the state over the individual. A vote for Romney or a vote for Obama will not change any of this.

More relevant to the forums interest...

What IS is Romney has supported more gun bans than Obama. What IS is Romney has signed into law more gun control laws than Obama. What IS is Romeny has raised more fees on gun owners than Obama. What IS is that a Romney SCOUTUS appointment will really NOT support the 2A, but will certainly give enough false hope before trampling on the Constution. What IS is both Romney and Obama agree with the current gun control regulations, will not reduce them, and generally both want to "enhance" them. What IS is both Romney and Obama are pandering politicians who will say anything to get elected. What IS is most sheeple believe at least one of them. What IS is a vote for either will surely disappoint.

What IS is a lack of gun control increases during the next four years will have virtually nothing to do with who is in the White House and nearly everything to do with who controls Congress. What IS is that "the next election" never comes.

What IS will never change until enough brave souls have the courage to challenge the status quo...a vote for Romney or a vote for Obama is the status quo.

A vote for anyone else is a vote for Obama.

Stop apologizing and vote for Obama.

A little late weighing in here, but my thoughts are that Romney may not be that far from Obama on 2A or even other issues concerning the Constitution, but if Obama is not voted out there will too little left of this country for the Constitution to be relevant. We have already lost our AAA rating and our debt is increasing at a phenomenal rate. Our Ship of State is sinking and there is not sufficient time to look for the perfect pilot...but patching the holes may buy us the time to continue that search. That's how I see the vote for Romney, patching with the pumps running. If, in four years, a better pilot should show up with a better platform and a sufficient show of support, then he/she will get my vote. I will be watching the independents, but unless I can see where they have a real shot at ousting Obama, Romney will get my vote.

President Barack Obama said in February 2009 that his presidency would be "one-term proposition" if the economy did not recover in three years and many people are looking to hold him to that.

But then today we get
During a South Carolina primary debate in January, Romney said he had only paid "the taxes that are legally required and not a dollar more."

"I don't think you want someone as the candidate for president who pays more taxes than he owes," he said.

Romney told ABC News in July," Frankly, if I had paid more than are legally due I don't think I'd be qualified to become president. I'd think people would want me to follow the law and pay only what the tax code requires."
Yet
"The Romneys voluntarily limited their deduction of charitable contributions to conform to the governor's statement in August, based upon the January estimate of income, that he paid at least 13% in income taxes in each of the last 10 years," the campaign explained.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/s ... 57821564/1

So do people hold Romney to his statement? Or will his campaign just reboot again on Monday? Like everything else from the technology sector, all you have to do is take a paperclip and stick it in Mitt Romney for a few seconds.

It's fine if you want to vote for Obama or Romney, but if you don't even acknowledge that they're two sides of the same coin you're only fooling yourself.

@ShotgunBlast; Hardly the same coin. Not even the same denomination of coin. Given the Conservative make-up of Congress, I don't think Romney will be anywhere near the detrimental influence on this Country that Obama would.

You watch this video of the candidates in their own words, then tell me how they're different.

@ShotgunBlast

One is a Republicrat and the other is a Democan.

If you want the country run like Chicago, vote Obama. If you want it run like Massachusetts, vote Romney. Trivial practical differences.

So, on the subject of 2A in the video...does Romney have anything going "under the radar"...any "Fast and Furious"? Is there no difference there?

Romney doesn't have anything under the radar because Romney has been unemployed for quite some time. Keep in mind that there is a difference between protecting the 2A and having gun running programs.

When it comes to protecting the 2A there is no difference as shown in the video (both believe in gun control).

When it comes to gun running, a president Romney will continue almost every program done under Obama, just like Obama continued almost every program done under Bush. Gun running is a great example of this (although you could also choose the TSA, PATRIOT ACT, Guantanimo as good examples too). Gun running programs ran from 2006-2011. SSDP (same s#!t different president)
