We (VGOF and Sterling Arsenal) will be presenting Greekfreak with his new SAR-XV Gladius AR-15 at Sharpshooters during the Meet and Greet - sometime between 11am and 2pm.

Awww man! I will be working but would have loved to be able to be there.

I think that maybe this has the potential to turn into a regular thing for the forum and it's members... or is it already?

I must apologize, as something came up, and I am unable to attend.

As for meeting outside and going in together - I think we usually do more of a "come and go as you please" kind of approach. If you want to identify yourself as a VGOF'er, then do it, and see who peeks out of their lane to wave at you lol

VGOF'er in da house! :packin:

Sorry again for not being able to make it today. Today was a big deal to me with the AR15 transfer and everything. I really wanted to be there.

I, too, was unable to make it today though I had hoped to finally meet some from the forum. I hope that we have other opportunities in NoVA. I realize it's tough with the limited number of ranges available here.

Its alright! Saw Trigger and Hammer and I think Sean we all chatted at the store , but they had signed in before me, so I had to wait a lil longer. Saw Luis and Ryan from Sterling Arsenal (I've met them before at their store) Met Greekfreak Lucky son of a gun - hope you enjoy that AR15- wanted to see it but that's when my name came up for range time. Trigger, just to let you know I tried a five bullseye target - two of em side by side and rapid fire with the SW Bodyguard and did HORRIBLE. That trigger pull is so long that its like I staged it so I knew right where it broke - but that is not good practice - its supposed to be a steady pull. I knew you'd like the SW 1911 - aint that trigger sweet? And Hammer you gotta admit as awkward as that Kel Tec Sub2K is to handle - you did some pretty tight groups at 20 yards. I mis-spoke - should have said the manufacturer claims 1 MOA at 150 feet, not yards and that sounds about right with a perfectly adjusted sight and lots of practie. Thanks for letting me try your SRC9 and man, y'all got some good looking grips on those pistols! MY 1911 produced 3" groups bench rested at 25 yds, and only got a couple of FTFs after about 200 rounds, so I think it was either one of the magazines or just a dirty gun. Tell y'all what, I gotta admit $22.00 one month membership and range fee aint bad considering I spent probably 2 1/2 hours at the range. So it was nice to meet the friendly folks at Sharpshooters and good to see Luis and Ryan again.

I think the overall level of crowds made gathering and hanging out a bit challenging.

We'll also have to do this a bit more often so we can more easily ID each other.

Trigger and I had good time. It was good to meet NOVA and JDonovan and a blast to fire off a few rounds with their toys. Would have been nice to be able to I'd other members. Trigger says we should shoot for meeting once a month. A convincing argument that if we met on Sat 10/29 at monthly memberships would still be valid.

We ran down to the Dale City Gun Show afterwards. I got a knife, Trigger was eyeing the Ruger LPC, and we both liked this schweet blue S&W 1911. Gonna go shake the piggy bank.

Do you guys regularly meet up? Is it at a local range? And where do you guys usually meet?

We don't have a regular meeting place or scheduled events. Usually, someone will just post in the Meet and Greet section and try to stir up some interest.
