I'll show my age here. Got new, digital ears about a week ago. Have to go thru a few cycles of trial use & testing, to help tune the programming by the audiologist. Now when I get up in the morning, I have to put on my "eyes" and my "ears".
Tonight's 'test' of the new aids was taking the spouse for Mexican (loud group setting), then listening to music. Emmylou Harris (high frequencies) and Vince Gill (medium frequencies) - really great stuff. Weekend, I used to play such stuff and drink some cool ones - preferably Sol, Pacifico or Corona.
Been years since I could hear well enough to listen. I thought I'll tell Lisa, my audiologist about the good job she did with the initial programming, and what I was listening to. Then I thought, Lisa was probably born about the time Emmylou was recording some of the songs I was listening to.
A very friendly reminder - protect your ears around all the loud stuff!
