I am a frequent customer of Virginia Arms. Judging by the often overflowing store, numerous sales staff and large volume of happy customers I doubt that they are worried about a perceived slight of a package being overpriced. Everything is more expensive here and it is reflected in some of the pricing. Your son in law could have easily shopped around for a better price as there are multiple stores in the area.
