Sgt. Bill, I don't think that the pain meds that you need to take are the same as medical MJ. I think the list of side effects are much different.

The following are some of the common side effects of using marijuana:

* Trouble remembering things
* Slowed reaction time
* Difficulty concentrating
* Sleepiness
* Anxiety
* Paranoia (feeling that people are "out to get you")
* Altered time perception
* Red, bloodshot eyes

Morphine Immediate-Release

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Morphine Immediate-Release:

Constipation; dizziness; drowsiness; headache; lightheadedness; nausea; restless mood; sweating; vomiting.

It's all in choosing the right wording for government approval.

What do you think drowsiness is? Would it be sleepiness, a slowed reaction time, altered time perception, difficulty concentrating?

What do you think a restless mood is? Would it be anxiety and possibly a difficult time concentrating?

Etc.

The 2nd amendment states that "the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed."

CHP's, IMHO, are an infringement. Denying someone a CHP is also an infringement.

As has been stated previously, it is called being responsible for your actions. If someone is carrying, and does something stupid (whether drug induced or not), well...STUPID IS SUPPOSED TO BE PAINFUL!
