Alright.. Windows IE8 has something called "Compatibility View" which states: "Websites designed for older browsers will often look better , and problems such as out of place menus, images, or text will be corrected."
When I click this button, it reformats the website - but only for VaGunForum.net - it shouldn't affect other websites. It looks good this way.
Here's a browser screenshot with the location of the button outlined in red. Give it a try! In the meantime, I'll keep looking to see how I can make the site "Designed for newer browsers" like IE8.

Re: Posts running off the screen
I've used Firefox on both Vista and the new Windows 7 Beta / RC1. It works exactly the same as it does on XP. The advantage of using Firefox over IE is the add-ons. Now that I have Ad-Blocker in Firefox, I'll never go back to all of the banner ads and popup crap that I had to endure while using IE.Moccasin wrote:Jay, while I would rather not have IE with my dial up it is much easier to keep things as they are. Besides I have the ultimate OS, Vista, hard telling how it would react to something non ms. I'll just keep plugging along with what I have, don't really have much of a choice right now.
I can't speak about IE8 however, since I haven't tried it.

Re: Posts running off the screen
I used IE for years and switched to Firefox a few months ago. Its much cleaner that IE and has a built in spell checker. I've only run into one instance when I tried to us an online app where it told me I must be using IE 6 or better.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...
