Saw that today. All I could think was; "Aren't ALL of those, basically, stolen handguns????"

Yes, but if those stupid rednecks didn't own any, then the poor unfortunate soul wouldn't have had to steal the gun and kill the officer.

Now get back to the education camps because your brainwashing has failed!

...Yes there was, but I think it was a violation of Florida law and not federal law.
I did a brief search and couldn't find it though, link? What Flordia law would regulate an FFL?
Simple answer to that last - if the FFL is located in Florida, then all of Florida's laws regulate that FFL. The FFL doesn't acquire sovereign immunity by virtue of participation in interstate commerce. And the states are pre-eminent in the power to regulate the ownership, possession, and use of firearms.

But what do I know - I stopped reading the Washington Pravda in the early 1970's.

I realize I'm in the *extreme* minority on this site, and that's fine. We have a common interest in firearms, and it's called VAGunForum.net (as opposed to VAPoliticalOpinions.net). That said, I read the WashingtonPost (well, on my iPhone...what's a newspaper?), and bashing subscribers as brainless libs that take WashingtonPost investigations as gospel, and lumping them all together makes roughly as much sense as the 'other side' saying "all gun owners are inbred hillbillies so I refuse to hear their arguments."

Doesn't anyone think it is a little weird that the shop in question has such a high number of straw buys? And it's not a close margin either. Just saying.

I think he's saying basically to be careful not to lump all "non-conservatives" into the same pot. The Washington Post editors and plenty of others like them (e. g. those of the LA Times and NY Times) try to lump all gun owners as essentially inbred, bigoted hillbillies. We see this all the time. Seems to me like Goldie's saying that we should be smarter, better educated, and classier than they are...because we are.

Goldie, can you provide some clarification on this?

sounds like a good idea, until you have to endure all the holier-than-thou crowd who would be giving sermons about casting stones......

Have noticed a LOT more anti-gun articles in papers all across the country since the supreme court started siding with the 2nd amendment.
Normally I chastise people who accuse the press of being "liberal" but stuff like that makes me wanna believe it.

Yes, my big brother Bubba played himself in the hit movie Wrong Turn...I would have directed but we dont have a brain between any of us...all we know how to do is thump Bibles and load guns....we can also shoot possums sitting on rocks too...on a good day... :hysterical:

While I am not truly a conservative I do harbor conservative values. I consider myself more of a Constitutionalist. Yes, there is such a party. With that, some progressives may share our view of the 2nd Amendment but what about the remainder of the Constitution. Its not a menu based document and must be taken in the entire true context to be effective. By the way, I try to avoid the label liberal because there is much confusion about what it truly means. When someone like Cowboy calls himself a liberal he is referring to the true meaning not the current vernacular.

Bottom line IMHO is that fans of rags like the Washington Post and NY Times need a vector check if they truly like their 2nd Amendment rights...
