Usually "Gladis" goes in a Galco Fletch holding 180gr TAP,Extra mag on any good belt and a Spyderco Delica. Sometimes "Hariet" goes holding 230gr Golden Sabre, Extra mag and a Spyderco Delica. Those are my main squeezes the others I only fool around with on occasion.

Oops... missed your post earlier in the thread Nathan (LOL, back in May 2009). I'm with you on the OWB carry.
I like .357, too. It's magical. Looking now for a holster for a 4" bbl Ruger GP-100 in .357. Probably won't become my regular carry, as I really like my j-frame, but I would like the option.

Otherwise, it's my Kimber Ultra Raptor II in a Crossbreed Super-Tuck Deluxe IWB

G19 with a Crimson Trace loaded with Georgia Arms Gold Dot carried in a leather OWB holster with retention on a Galco belt. I keep other holsters in the car. Sharp folder in the front right pocket.

Sometimes I break out my go f with somebody else look when going by undesirables.

Learned its effective use from my father...Career Army officer, and a master of personal intereaction and reading of body language...and i think said the same thing...that Uncle Sam gave him an education and an opportunity to use it...

I believe that the "look" avoids more situations than i would care to know about...not all life threating, just the day to day BS that we deal with in being in public that we do not have to time nor the interest in dealing with...and it is not actually a "grim visage"...more the "expressionless...you can't read this" expression...meant to impart "look for the suxer elsewhere and open up your can of BS at your own risk..." and as we do carry OC or CC, I actively try to avoid interactions or situations that will be overly irratating, or where i will be defensive ( FTF direct marketing sales, perfume sprayers at the mall, Amway guys in the bookstores, Kiosk vendors, etc..)

That and if you meet someone elses gaze, be steely eyed...9 out of 10 times, they will look away and give you the SA advantage... especially if they are up to no good for real...cowards will rarley look you in the eye, as they know you can see through them...

Glock model 30 in .45 with 230 grain HP and light/ laser in a CrossBreed Supertuck, Taurus .327 magnum in a pocket holster or a croosdraw IWB with 85 grain hydro shocks. Waiting to get some Speer gold dot ammo but still on back order. Buck 3 inch folder- razor sharp and a mini maglight. Oh yeah and the look, I stole my Look from my dad. It was the one he gave me that used to freeze my blood. I am 6'3 and 305 lbs, my dad is 5'9 180 and with one look he could stop me in my tracks. Sometimes the best weapon to carry is just to be alert and aware. Bad guys don't want a fight, they want a victim.

Glock .40 with crimson trace sight in a belt slide holster with Speer Gold Dot Hollow Point's and or a Walther PK380 in .380 cal. with Speer Gold Dot Hollow Point ammunition carried in a S & W belt slide holster made for a model S&W469 9 M.M. I don't carry a flashlight or a knife. I am not allowed to handle sharp objects as I normaly end being cut by them. If it is dark enough to require a light I will wait if possible untill I can get to one of my Streamlight's in 30 thousand candle power.

S&W M49 in a Renegade, Cozy Partner ankle rig.
G26 in an MTAC Minotaur.
Keltec P32 in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster

I carry a Bersa .380 Thunder with Rem. Golden sabers in a Kydex paddle holster that I made or in my pocket. Or a Glock Model 22 with Federal hydroshocks in a Kydex paddle holster that I made.

If I'm belt carrying, I use a Don Hume J.I.T. slide holster. For pocket carry, a Blackhawk pocket holster.

I got the same gun (642) and just got my CHPa few days ago so now am looking for OWB and pocket holsters for it and my older Walther PPK/S (from Interarms).

I carried my Baby Eagle in .45 for the first time this past Saturday all day long...from about 1:30 AM until around 10 PM that night...its chrome and weighs a ton...I liked it alot...I used an Uncle Mike's cloth holster and it worked great...wish I had a nice leather one for it...when I put it on I thought I'd be sorry later but nothing doing...it rode nice in the holster and didnt drag my britches down a bit...

My normal CC is a Taurus PT 840 in a Crossbreed supertuck using Hyrdashok 135gr



When I OC its the same gun in a Blackhawk Serpa Paddle

Beretta PX4sc 9mm, loaded with Winchester PDX1 124 grain, in a DeSantis Thumb Break Mini Slide.

I am a fan of Galco leather. Not super expensive, but not cheap either. They tend to last a long time, fit the gun correctly, and are well thought out products. I have IWB, OWB, ankle, pocket holsters. I really like their Fletch holster for OCing. Works pretty good for CC, but the retention strap does catch on clothing easier than one without a retention strap.

I vary my extra mag carrying, none, one or two are common. The Galco cop mag holders are nice and so are the CC versions. I like singles for a double stack (find that two double stack mags in one holster is too bulky), but double mags for single stacks.

Sometimes I carry a Surefire LED E1 flash light and/or Hinderer pocket knife. Ammo is usually Speer GD, but also do like the Winchester Ranger T ammo. 124gr +P for 9mm, 230gr for .45ACP, and 125gr for .357SIG.

Guns have been:
9mm: G19, G26
.357SIG: G32, G33
.45ACP: WC CQB
380Auto: LCP

I don't usually carry the 9mm now because I can handle the higher recoil of .357SIG/.45ACP much better now. It never was that I could shoot them or even that I didn't enjoy shooting them, but I didn't shoot them as well. Practice, practice, practice. I usually carry either the G32 or WC CQB. The G26/G33 are treated as backup guns generally. I carry the LCP when I can't carry anything else or just want the pocket carry.
