I enjoy reading his posts. I don't think he trolls - I think he firmly believes in his stance(s). I've not read everything he and gunderwood write, though. Sometimes I only have 2 hours in between meetings.

As some of you might suspect, I have been very busy over the past few months. Too busy to do anything but scan some of the forum material without comment. I may well continue in that mode, excepting a comment or post here and there.

But this thread? I've watched long enough, and I'm truly honored that one who has had nothing to say (according to some), has made such an impact. A topic devoted to me? Kewl.

It's also notable and amazing that in so doing, the proponents of this thread decided that the DON'Ts in commentary that are a part of the rules for all posters are valid for all, except when the comments refer to Gatlingun6.

I'm not sure how many members are on this site but as the only member who stands outside the rules for comments, it's an honor that I can cherish.

In so far as those of you who think that some words here have made me afraid, I'm amused. Really? There is really someone here who thinks I'm afraid? When it comes to fear I guess I live in a different universe than those who believe that. There are things any reasonable person fears, or should fear; but that doesn't include anything on this site for anyone. I'm taking such comments as a joke since no one can believe it at face value.

OK about the contest. The founders of the site should be happy that a new member, such as myself, didn't have a lot of questions about guns. That means the site is doing a great job at answering questions before they are asked. I have certainly commented on any number of topics that were about guns, so those posts ought to qualify for the contest, in which case I should win the contest.

As far as that first question about building an M4 type AR-15, after gathering voluminous amounts of reference material including DVDs mostly from Brownell's, I decided against it.

Instead I have my eyes on the Rock River Arms (RRA) LAR-15, Tactical Operator 2. That's what I'll be looking for tomorrow at the Gun Show. It seems to be the most value for the money. Does anyone think differently? The only question to be answered tomorrow is: Is the gun show price less than the RRA Online price.

Guys, just because he doesn't agree with some of you here doesn't make him a troll. You know good and well that I don't agree with everything some folks on this board say, either, yet you seem to welcome me.

And since he's the subject of the thread--and ridicule, I might add--for him to say what he just said yesterday doesn't seem to me out of place.

You and Gat (at least his past posts) are vastly different....and I believe Rick welcomes anyone here as long as they play nice...
