Remarks to the media should always involve engaging the brain first. I am in agreement with Wylde007 here ..these rallies shouldn't even be necessary but they are.We need to continue shouting out louder and longer than those that seek to disarm honest citizens in the name of "public safety"
I agree with you that we should not need these types of rallies to keep our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Yesterday was an excellent example of why we do. We are divided group with no clear leadership. We had less than 3000 people who cared enough to take off work and attend. The NRA should have supported this event from the beginning there should have been articles in their monthly magazines, links on their website and mailings. (god knows they keep mailing us trying to sell us insurance, wine and other no Gun related items. Why wasn't there speakers fron the NRA One of the gentleman from Mass, that I was talking to as we left made the statement " This rally did more to hurt us then help we send a message to Washington, the Brady group that we are apathetic and don't care enough about our gun rights”

I would have to agree. I was at the 2A March in DC yesterday. I took the day off to show my support. I even asked my wife to join me. As we walked up to Constitution and 14th St my wife's reaction was "this is no rally, its a small picnic". I also attended the Million Mom March in 2000. Check out this picture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Million_Mom_March.jpg. Claims of 750,000 attendees. As an attendee at both marches I can tell you those on the side of 2A as demonstrated yesterday...pathetic. But maybe its more apathetic. I hope you did not come because you see that the momentum has swung in our direction (Heller, VA restaurant carry, AZ constitutional carry).

I think a big reason it didnt see larger support is most know that "they" will not be moved by a protest. They havent been moved by any other ones...other than to make fun of them and call the protesters radicals, racists, and nazis...also held on a Monday which means most conservatives have to take time off from work...I unfortunately could not...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Bingo.

And in this economy hardly anybody can afford to show an employer that they're not a "team" or "company" player. Everyone needs their cards punched for 40.

I can't really agree that our point of view needs to be expressed or demonstrated uniformly. I hope free people never feel the need to walk and think in lockstep in order to impress others by the "strength" of their convictions.

That sort of cult mentality is certainly one of the characteristics of the opposition that's least attractive to cognizant free men. Don't hand me my talking points before I can walk out into the public forum with confidence in my beliefs.
