So, close to 30 folks and still counting.... How's the day's activities gonna flow? Is the reloading part shaping up? Anybody interested in casting or smelting?

I know, I'm eager. :bangin:

I like the idea of having a few workshops with a nominal fee to cover expenses if needed. That is, unless a vendor or sponsor steps up.

I'm working on getting a couple 5 gallon buckets of wheel weights, can you use them ?

I could bring my reloading stuff and let everyone load my ammo for me. Nothin' like hands on experience.

Let's see now, you take a .308 case and prep it and install a new primer and then fill it with C-4 and leave enough room to seat the slug. Now present the loaded cartridge to Henry and tell him it is his lucky one for this season. Contact Henry's wife Sherrie and see about splitting the Life Insurance. LOL

Speaking of reloading Bill, that crate with the ammo and presses do whatever you want to with it. I told the guy I would throw the junk away for him. One exception......... I promised DK that box of '06 ammo.

Didn't we do that in nam? Load 1 round in a hundred with HE and purposefully allow it to be captured.

We would salt a fire fight area with M-16 mags that held a surprise inside, just like a craker jack box.

Wouls someone be able to put on a "Firearm Cleaning Workshop"? It sounds silly, I know, but for the life of me I feel like I am not doing a thourough enough job & know many of you have tricks to get things done better.

I like that idea. Does anyone want to head this up and bring appropriate cleaning/lubricating agents and a toolkit? Please raise your hand now

Ok ! No need for anyone to bring cleaning gear for this class, I will have everything that is needed. Hell I might even give the class.

We don't want you to bee too busy, Bill. You already have a lot of shooting drills and reloading classes to give :)

What do you think about coming up with some sort of schedule for the day... something like:

Reloading clinic: Behind the shed at 14:00 hours

Shooting drills: Bring your pistols to the firing line at 15:30 hours

Gun Cleaning Clinic: Bring your dirty guns to the front porch at 17:30 hours

Dinner and a camp fire: 18:30-ish

Everyone else can shoot as they please during these times, but to schedule specific events would help people know what to expect and when... What do you think?

Old people need to be kept occupied so they don't get into trouble.
Right Bill ? :hysterical:

Some sort of schedule would be good, I'll need at least 3 hours to get dinner cooked, you can't rush perfection.

Bill I can bring my single stage RCBS and other equipment for reloading since it's getting put away this week. My Dillon 550B should be here by Friday.

Rick , any schedule that you want to set up is fine by me.

Henry , I am thinking that I will set up the old rifle range for those that want to shoot long guns and move the bench up there. I also have a single stage RCBS set up in the loading room in the garage. The only thing I can think of is a balance scale to use as you know we both have electronic. Do you still have your's.

I was gonna mention the idea of using the old range. It'll work as long as no one trys crossing the driveway in the woods on the opposite side. Guess they'll only do it once. I'll bring my scales, powder dispenser and trickler.

I will bring some venison steaks and sausage for the grill and can offer Michael for any labor or grunt work that needs to be done. He's training for track and trying hard to get in better shape.
Freedom Isn't Free, the price is visible at Veterans Administration(VA) hospitals all across the country! Remember all veterans, especially those of Korea, the "Forgotten War"- God Bless America.
