In what publication shall we find this erroneous "headline" so that we might alert the editorial staff of their gross misrepresentation (and thus disservice to their readership) of the law?

And besides, the general public is mostly comprised of mouth-breathing, slack-jawed idiots whose only purpose is to feed the machinery.

mouth breathing slack jawed idiots? General public? Hey that includes ussins and youins... :hysterical:

But I get your point. There are alot of folks so wrapped up themselves these days that they merely dont think or care or both.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

I didn't say it was an actual headline. I said that's what they will read it as. There's a difference. Perhaps I should have explained better.

Front Page of my paper (newsadvance.com)
Concealed handguns inside bars approved
Bill forbids carriers to drink while inside
Point being, people will remove the word 'Concealed' because in their mind it's always been illegal to have a gun in a 'bar'.

Except there are no bars in VA... and a lot of people don't seem to recognize that either.

Yes, and that's where jury pools are drawn from

And that would be why I put 'bar' in quotes. The paper did not.

BTW, If you need proof of how a newspaper can victimize a person after a justifiable shooting read this and take note of who they are calling the victims:

Full news story here:

That's the not the best example out there but in OH it appears to be a justifiable shooting and the BGs should be called home invaders not victims.

Now image how the paper would word it if the shooting happened at a restaurant while the shooter had a beer in front of him. Then consider that public pressure could force the DA's hand.

to wit: Police said the victim lived in the area where the shooting occurred but they did not release his address.
Agreed. 100%

I wish it would be as easy as using common sense. But as I always say, Common sense, ain't common. If i was being taken out by friends to get me loaded for my birthday, leave it home. Besides, no one would stand a chance against some of those crazies packin' or not. But having a glass of wine with my Porterhouse should be ok. Just my $.02
