Yep, it was most likely the one he had at my place that we both shot. But to be fair he did say that he got it for his wife even if he did have a strange gleam in his eye.

Andy's P-22 is a nice shooter even if it is pink. And a pink .22 will bring a world of hurt on a BG just as quick as a green one...

P22 owners are mostly love, some hate and a very few indifferent. I'm in the latter class. If you have a new one, you may have the extractor that doesn't throw casings into your face and you may have the new series mags so you don't have to elongate the slot and the mags actually feed rounds. In any case, to prevent the thing from eating itself, you need to disassemble it an do some serious polishing so it won't eat itself. Mine went back to S&W after 600 rounds because the trigger bar ears were gouging the zinc allow slides. The rear sights are slightly better than fixed sights. The pistol is hard to shoot accurately. I enjoy shooting it, but I certainly recognize a few deficiencies and it is a challenge.

I have a Buck Mark and like the ability of the pistol to shoot very accurately. Mine was insensitive to ammo for a while and then started giving me extraction problems. It is an accurate shooter and has an excellent trigger out of the box. I've partially solved the extraction problem by replacing the recoil spring assembly. The guide rod decided to bend. Not sure how I did it, but it bent.

I have 5 Rugers (1973 standard, MKII GC, MKII 22/45, MKIII Hunter and a MKIII 22/45). All have the VQ trigger and sear. I've had zero problems related to the LCI and had no problems with the mag disconnect, although it went away on both my MKIII's a while back. The Rugers will shoot anything but Aguila (won't feed) reasonably accurately. They do better with better quality ammo. The fabled difficulty of field stripping Rugers are, in my opinion, vastly over rated.

I also have an S&W 22A. It has been a zero problem pistol and is darned accurate, although a bit picky with ammo. The 7" barrel is less ammo sensitive than the 5.5" barrel.

I like shooting .22 handguns and like the ones I have. Even the P22. I also like shooting my Ruger Single six and S&W M17. For a plinking pistol I'd recommend a Ruger or S&W 22A. However, all I have are fun.

Sorry, I've been out of this thread for a while. Yes, Henry. Its the Pink one I had down at Bill's. Your right that it has an amazing trigger. Nice and light.

The question of accuracy, I consider myself a decent shot and I have issues with this gun at times. Most of it is do to the gun being so incredibly light weight. When I truly concentrate its super accurate.

If your looking for a more accurate gun for shooting at more than 15 yards out I'd say look at the Mark III. Just my opinion though.
