Re: Gov. Northam announces gun control package
In regards to prior comments about moving: stay and fight here. Eventually we're going to run of freedom loving states if we don't.
On a positive note:
From the VCDL President's email today:
"Tonight was an excellent night for Virginia gun owners! THAT SAID, IF WE DON'T VOTE IN GOOD PEOPLE IN SEPTEMBER, THIS COULD ALL CHANGE NEXT YEAR.
The anti's behaved themselves tonight. Of course it helped that a Capitol police officer was in the room the whole time to serve as a reminder to keep things civil. Chairman Farris made it clear in his initial remarks that incivility would NOT be tolerated.
Even Richmond Mayor Stoney, with interim police chief in tow, was there to push gun control.
BIG THANKS TO THE REPUBLICANS, WHO ALL VOTED CORRECTLY TONIGHT: Matt Fariss, Mike Webert, Nick Frietas, and Jeffrey Campbell.
NOTE: Keep Democrat John Bell in your prayers. He had to leave the subcommittee early tonight because of a tragedy within his family. No further information at this time.

Re: Gov. Northam announces gun control package
Its promising for sure. The problem I have with staying is, if they try to take away our Rights with the strokes of a pen, and I stay, I'm going to become a criminal. I'm not going to tolerate another drop.

We need more grassroots activity in NOVA.

We have the VCDL, but it's the same 1000 white guys doing it ALL!
We need WAY more people in it, making decisions, and making progress in the fight to gain our rights back.

Did I hear Phil say only 5 members showed up on the first day?
Re: Gov. Northam announces gun control package
The best long term solution is to split the state into North Virginia and South Virginia. That way our representatives would actually represent our interests, needs, and way of life. Right now we are just the tail on the NOVA dog.
In NJ, the bad guys are armed and the households are alarmed. In VA, the households are armed and the bad guys are alarmed.

CORRECT! NoVa, Tidewater, and Richmond Center (Not surrounding) dictate the Anti-"freedom" sentiment.
Idjuts move here to escape bad legislation, only to vote in the same idjuts who voted for... BAD LEGISLATION! (shakes head)
Definition of stupid.

Re: Gov. Northam announces gun control package
A Federal judge just flipped 6 Republican seats by redrawing their districts guaranteeing that the Dems are going to win in November. It is almost a 100% guarantee that they will turn Virginia into California and Connecticut with their gun control laws.

Re: Gov. Northam announces gun control package
I just read the Washington Post article about that. The state was ordered to redraw the lines because they were caught gerrymandering a district. The new court order resulted in a new map where 6 seats are almost guaranteed to be lost, but it fixed the one in the complaint. So the court seems to think that's okay?
No surprise given the panel of judges are almost all Libs.
On the upside, the appeal to a higher court has already been made. Hopefully it'll get heard before the next election.

Re: Gov. Northam announces gun control package
Here's a thought, what if every gun owner in America that was able, moved to one state chosen to be the "Gun state"?
Could override a lot of issues!
But which state would get chosen?

It doesn't matter. The socialist will insist on moving there and messing everything up, because they're a virus that thrives off of trying to dominate people who disagree with their point of view.

And unfavorable tax laws from decades of Robert Byrd/Democrat rule. Can't see paying an additional $0.25 for a gallon of gas.scott9050 wrote:I escaped to West Virginia.

Conspiracy theory? Some would say so, because this would seem to ascribe too much in the way of an intelligent thought process to the left. The exception is that the lefts play has already been written. The current players are merely reading the lines and following the plan. Bracken and I are the same age, so we have seen the same history. As such, we share very similar views on the direction the left is taking the United States of America. I agree with him that they may be underestimating the armed right and the ferocity with which we'll fight to preserve our republic. Probably not in my lifetime or my children's lifetime, but you never know.kelu wrote:Another post from Matt Bracken.

I am not so optimistic. I'd give it 10-12 years. About when I'm going to be a grumpy old man.

Short time frame. Hope you're wrong! If not, I have the grumpy part down.

Re: Gov. Northam announces gun control package
Personally I think the Dems will win the next presidential election, even though I will vote Republican.
There are some real crazies in the Dem house that are potential candidates. Who knows how many more will come to light in the next year.
I think within the next election we're going to see crazy things start to happen, no matter where you live.
Running isn't an option, eventually we will run out of places to run.
