Been working on just that for the past several years, and thankfully we are at a point where we could jump in an older vehicle, load up a few extra supplies, and go. After working with this stuff all day, I can't get to an off-grid homestead fast enough. Technology was supposed to be a convenience; instead it will be the means of our modern-day enslavement.

AS a couple of others have stated don't install that "app" until you know everything it does, and does not do. Think back about all those "Flash light" apps that "needed" access to the GPS, address book, phone, etc.
