The original Black Sunshine was only 400 up. Tech has come a long way for cars since then.

This is our GT500...

Or a car dealership. LoL

If I could afford a stable of muscle cars the Hellcat would be one of them. I can't even afford to fill one stall! That is a sweet looking ride Marc.

Thanks Jim... I appreciate it. Been working my tail off for a long time. Had to spoil myself with the Challenger. Unfortunately, my wife inherited the Shelby from my father in-law when he passed. The cost of that one was too high... so we keep her well feed and groomed in his honor.

@Marc- my step-son inherited a Corvette in similar fashion. I was actually wondering, earlier, how that 'Vette would stand up to that Hellcat on the dragstrip.

I can't tell you much about the 'Vette except that it's Arrest-Me-Red, it's a '77, and it ain't stock.

Marc,

Sweet car! I guess you will be heading up to the BK shows with that once it gets started? I will try to make it up with my mustang sometime. It was good to meet you and your son at Elite.

Hey Greg, it was most definitely a pleasure to meet you today! Thanks for saying Hi.

I would love to checkout the Mustang! They are my favorite cars.

The cruise-ins at BK have already started. I have been there a few times this Spring. If the rain stops early enough tomorrow, I'll wash it up and head over to BK around 4:00 tomorrow. If you're busy tomorrow or if the rain doesn't let up, shoot me a PM when you want to head out. If I am in the state, I'll head over.

Nice car. The horsepower wars are getting insane. I was perfectly happy with my lightly modded '14 Mustang GT until I saw this:

I am now seriously considering ordering one with upgraded half shafts and selling my 14.

I saw that after I got the Hellcat or I would have bought that in an instant. It was literally two days later.

Lol, last time I bought a Mustang, it had a sluggish V6... on purpose.

My right foot is pretty heavy. My wife has the same condition. It's just better if we keep slower vehicles, lol.

That said, TBH HAS been wanting a Nissan Z, so I may end up with a ticket magnet in my garage in a few years, after all.

I love the Z's and they have plenty of power to get you in trouble. LoL

Yeah... trouble. That's what I'm afraid of, lol. I don't exactly want to personally finance all the new equipment for the local PD.

Maybe I can find her a Z in a nice, low key, silver color.

I raced a lot of vettes with my Mustang and won a lot, but I never raced against a classic like a gen 3. I'm pretty sure the gen 3 Only had about 180-190 hp. Chances are I would lose the first 60 to 100 feet because of traction problems, but once it's rolling, the Hellcat will outrun anything factory-stock that's under $300k except the GT500.

I saw the Dung Beatle smoke a Hellcat in the 1/8 mile.

Must have been a hell of a heavily modded Beetle. I have seen a few cars that will shock you like that, but a 9 second (or even a 10 second) Beetle is not cheap to build.

The Hellcat broke traction and it was only 1/8mile (little space/time to catch back up).
