Sadly deprived, and with my deepest sympathy.
Speaking of southern food....

Today's home-school activities, at the Bear household, commenced with the delivery of one possum carcass, via "vulture air", into the back yard followed by front row seats to breakfast :letseat: and bickering!

Just what was needed to start a Monday morning! The 7-yr old, was glued to the binoculars....

Must have been one of them YANKEE buzzards, on his way back up north for the summer. :coffee:

I'm not sure I can agree. There was no tofu involved; I didn't see any wasabi, soy sauce or ginger (hmmm possum sashimi!); and there wasn't New York style anything on the menu! :hysterical:

I like all of the BBQ, except for the South Carolina mustard sauce. I just can't get used to that.
I don't get it, SC has it all wrong. So very, very, wrong. :coffee:

Oh man, you just need some good cooked meals with wasabi, soy sauce, ginger, etc... 'Course I am half-Japanese and learned to cook with what I had while living in WV, so... it makes for interesting - albeit tasty - fusion food.

Don't you worry! Home-made gyoza, sushi, okonomiyaki, curry and kocha kinoko are staples on our menu!

BONUS man-tip: When your wife says, "I'm craving chicken today..." responding with, "Well the buzzards are still there and I have some bird shot...."; is NOT the right answer!!!! :hysterical:

Heh, when buzzards show up in my yard, I usually inform my wife that her relatives have come to visit.
