Regressivism requires voters who are incapable of thinking any farther than 2 seconds into the future. This is why the Federally funded public school systems habitually graduates idiots, and pushes them into to Federally funded colleges to exit as drooling idiots. (It is true, however, that some folks can go through the whole system and still come out with their brains intact. My sisters did, so I imagine that others do.)

This is also why people can simply say "If we make this place a gun free zone, guns won't come here", and leave it at that. If that statement was actually considered, instead of simply repeated, just for a moment, the flaws in the statement would be immediately glaring, like a runway light on the darkest of midnights.

Stupid is the new smart.

H, that was down right poetic.

I wish there was a way to get people to see the light. Unfortunately, stupidity is not only taught and contagious, its encouraged in some parts. What drives me nuts is, it doesn't end at firearms. The people with the wishful thinking apply the mindset to immigration, the economy, federal spending, global weather change, and on and on. They will never admit they are wrong. Its easier to blame others than to take responsibility.

Also everyone, the Executive branch agencies covers basically all of the state agencies. There are 91 of them in total. Just a few examples, DMV, Tax, DSS, VDH, Labor, Department of Accounting, Board of Education, Treasury, Department of Behavioral Services, Department of Forestry, Wildlife and game commission, Parks and rec, and on and on. These all fall under the Executive branch, which Vita basically supplies all It and other services to. This does not just affect the would be king carpet bagger, but all the agencies that provide services not only to us, but all the gimmies as well. Massive overreach, and the Attorney General is actually going along with this. Sound familiar? Rule by phone and pen...

God I'm going to just throw up in my own mouth everyday when I go to work. What happens to the law change that allows state workers to lock their firearms in their cars prior to entering the buildings.

What I would do if I was a senator or whatever: Extend the ban inside government buildings to anyone nut on duty law officers. No private security, no security guards. Then strip the ability of said agencies to hire armed security. Let TMac to be unarmed and his bodyguards too. Let him eat his own cake. After all, democrats motto is equality, right? Let him have equal rights to any other clerk.
Do you know any senator to make them push something like this?

The GOP does NOT represent us. The Republican party is an incestuous good 'ol boy network clique that rejects any interference from "outsiders"... meaning rank and file party members especially but really, anybody at all.

Of the "two" parties, the Republican may be slightly better in that they still need to pretend to support conservative issues while working towards a progressively socialistic government.

Do not expect any other party to be more responsive in the long run. Even the "tea party" has already become an institutionalized nightmare.

I'm convinced that our only hope, and it is a paper thin hope at that, is we can use the write-in system to put politics back into the hands of the people.

No, but as I've stated before, I have supported democratic candidates before. I even gave TMac some money when he ran because an associate who WAS a registered dem sort of backed me into a corner. But I turned around and quietly gave Cuccinelli twice as I gave TMac. As a member of the local business community, the key to dealing effectively with politicians is to maintain cordial relationships with both sides; and keep them both guessing about who you will support. That way they neither write you off nor take you for granted. And after all, I want to do business with and extract as much revenue as possible from BOTH sides. A republican dollar looks just like a democratic dollar once they're both in my pocket. Can't tell 'em apart. So I hope I continue to get e-mail from both sides.

Republican dollars and Democrat dollars seem to be much like Republicans and Democrats, in that they look about the same. They seem to spend identically, too.
