What great weather we had this weekend! I can only hope that October 3rd. is as good. We had some friends over Saturday and shot for about six hours. We spent most of today working around the Range and doing some clean up. Just really a great time of the year to be in the woods!

Randy, I have been giving some serious though to doing something similar. I really want to get 100 acres or so that has a stream running through it so I can hunt, fish and spend weekends at until I retire. Get a couple little 4-wheelers, build a nice range, etc. You have it made bud. One of the biggest reasons I appreciate you opening your life to us for a days if the friendship... after that... the reminder and incentive to follow that path.

Holy crap! I just looked at my calendar and the wife is having her annual "Girls Weekend" here Oct 2-4! That means I'm free! I gotta start thinkin about food! If it's okay with you, Randy, I may come down Friday late in the afternoon, but before dark. I can bring breakfast items (eggs, bacon, sausage, OJ), and can bring lunch stuff as well. Or I can bring dinner stuff if you prefer, but it sounds like you and Carol have that figured out. Give me some ideas, as I have started my list.

This is great Swampman! ! As of now Carol and I plan to have Brats on the grill Friday evening. We're not sure what is really going on or who's showing up on Friday. If you want to do breakfast Saturday morning would be perfect and a great help. We have everything needed to cook with. Whatever you decide, we'll make work. I'm not sure what time I will get there Friday, but I am hoping to be there around noon.

I'll need an approximate head count so I know how much to bring. If you have an estimate based on past experience, that would help. Had a thought to do breakfast burrito's, or just plain old scrambled eggs.

Hey Swampman , I do expect several to be around for breakfast, maybe 5 or 6 . I have a friend and his girlfriend that are trying to make it this year. As of now they plan to camp Friday night. Also friends that have property near by are going to camp. Last year quite a few did show up pretty early......They missed breakfast !!! Carol and I are up for anything .

I think I'm going to be able to make this one!
Once I get an answer from the host as to what he is willing to have on the range... I'll give a heads up to what kinds of ammo to bring if you want to try out some of the fun stuff.

I'll plan on a dozen and we'll see how it goes. But let me know if the number goes up.

Jdonovan, We like the fun stuff as much as everyone....How ever we do have an agreement with the neighbors . We shoot everything up to 308 's and have shot a 50 cal . Several times. Our range is in the woods and it is very dry. We have agreed no explosives, Tanzanite or black powder bombs of any kind. We don't want to be the Party Pooper , but we still have to live with our neighbors. I hope everyone understands! We shoot AR's AK's SKS's and an assortment of Muzzle Loaders and just about every Pistol known to man!

9mm, 223 are your best bets if you want to try out some of my big eaters.
9mm 147 subs, may also be fun if we have some 'quiet time' on the range.
I didn't get a good feel from snakester, yes or no on a 50bmg?

Woot!
I'll order up some extra ammo... not responsible for shoulder damage, hearing damage, or school girl like laughter after shooting it.
If there is room in the truck I might just have to throw the .458 lott in for good measure. You can actually shoot that standing up... not so much with a 30lb barrett.
