Prior to Glock introducing its gen 4 models, you could pretty much count on a Glock being reliable out of the box. I don't think this is true anymore. Glock has corrected the issues with its gen 4 models and I hear that some initial glitches with the Glock 42 have also been addressed. With Glock or any other manufacturer, I like to wait at least a year for a new model to get the kinks identified and hopefully worked out. Sometimes, I've decided not to buy a gun based on operational performance following its rollout.

I created this to help me compare sizing.

I like Glocks in a utilitarian sense, and have 3 of them in rotation. I tried a G42 last year and was rather disappointed. My LGS took it back in on trade for a Kahr PM9 that has never FTF OR FTE. I like it, and it or a G26 has been my summer carry. However, I prefer the glock trigger... probably just get rid of them all and go to an FNS-9C!

I like my Shield - I pack the 8 round magazines. The form factor is damned near perfect for me. (Now, if I could lose this weight that being happily married put on, I could wear IWB again easily without buying new jeans... Sigh.)

I find the M&Ps to carry closer to the body than my XDMs or Glocks.

My thoughts too - this video just cracks me up. Glad I'm not emotionally invested in any of my guns so I enjoy great parodies like this one.

If you are familiar with the Glock 42 in .380 you’ll be familiar with the big brother in 9mm. The frame size is the same as the model 42 with the slide being 8mm longer than the 42. Magazine capacity is the same at 6+1 of 9mm.

If Glock ever comes out with a revolver, I might be interested.
