Re: Stay away from Dicks sporting goods.
I had an odd experience at the Dick's at the Springfield mall last month.
The only 22lr they had were the little 40 round boxes for $2.50 each. Limit of three, so with my wife, I started walking out with six boxes. As we're walking to the counter to pay, a manager stops us and starts talking to me about the ammo. In short, he gels me if I go back to the ammo punter and ask for the right person, I can get a bucket, but it might cost a bit extra. In other words, the employees were creating their own black market in the store. I declined his offer.

I never could stand Dick's anyway. Overpriced yuppie nest where you have to listen to college kids who don't know their azz from a hole in the ground lecture you about guns as if YOU were the dumbazz instead of them. And the b@stards won't haggle, either. Went there once to buy a gold bag case to fly with. Tried to check out the firearms, but there were too many educated fools in the way. Left. Never going back.

Four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo - use in that order.
If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.

I stopped going after Newtown, and the sh't they pulled with ALREADY PURCHASED WEAPONS!
Now? I go in there for UnderArmor sales... and even then? They're only there for me to LOOK at stuff because I'm finding the website is less!
Dick's is a fitting name for them, and their ilk as Dorm has already explained.

Yeah I don't go to Dicks for their firearm stuff. I go there for the golf section only. Still a little pricey but not bad when they have their sales going on for the stuff.
The one here on College Dr. in Suffolk barely had anything anyways. The other day all they had was shotgun and .226 ammo, not a piece of handgun ammo to be found even behind the counter.

Eff Dick's.
I can't believe I'm quoting Oprah here, but she said, "When someone tells you who they are (dicks), you should believe them." (Yeah, yeah, yeah - I only know this one because The Management repeats it frequently here.)

No, Sir... but its on the list. I have been told by just about everyone, if you don't own an 870, something's wrong with me. LOL
Maybe when form 4 is fixed online... I'll buy a short barrel shotgun, but I have no idea what I would like in a traditional product of this type.
