Unless it's a direct threat to yourself, or confirmed other, you cannot use deadly force. Correct?
Nevada has different laws than Virginia in this regard.

I will say that the diversity of laws in this Country does give us the opportunity to configure laws to match our own regional needs. There was good reason for "defense of property" laws to come into existence in some States.
