Except that... that is as bad, if not worse than what we have currently.

Two sides of the same coin.

We still need to vote R even if it's a Rino. The below sums it up better than I can.

I don't think the GOP will take the Senate majority but if they did I would expect no real change.

My guess is that it is a tossup at best. Be damned nice to be able to block any additional Judicial nominations and treaty signings, though. Probably won't make any legislative difference unless the republicans got enough seats to override a veto; which just ain't gonna happen. It would, however, put the blame squarely where it belongs if gridlock or shutdown resulted from a veto of legislation passed by both houses.

My take on all this - the Democrats (Socialist, Leftist, "Progressive" and others who hide as Libertarians or Independents) are what this country and civilization within this country has to fear the most. I don't like Rinos and they are generally worthless as true legislators, but they are less of a threat than those such as Obummer, Nancy "Wicked Witch of the West Pelosi and "Dirty Lil" Harry Reid. We better be worrying about what the Left has become in this country. I haven't see a real, patriotic and sane national Democrat since Zell Miller retired.
I am old and won't have to suffer the mess the Leftists make for many, many decades like my children and grandchildren.

Ahh, Zell Miller. Probably the only Democrat for which I'd consider casting a vote. I liked what he had to say in that book he wrote.

I have never voted for a Democrat in my life. But I haven't voted for every Republican.
There are a few Ds I might have voted for. Virgil Goode was one. Lately, I'm finding it harder and harder to vote for Rs.

Like Mama and I have said "Two sides of the same coin".
I am not a "kool-aid" drinker for EITHER party, and I'm of the opinion that Republicans are becoming "LiberalLite".
I used to find different names for things, but I remember when you just stood by what you SAID, without a TITLE!

Hey, keep that two-party duopoly going.

Do you think Reagan would ever be elected today, or would he be a Right wing Tea Party radical?

Raised taxes, blew up the debt, supported "reasonable gun control", and dropped some blanket amnesty on the illegals.
I wouldn't vote for him.

I am actually far more angry with the GOP than the demoncrats. At least the D's are honest about being my political adversary. The R's lie to my face, try to wrangle $$ and votes out of me all while planning to do the same thing as the D's just a bit slower.
I cannot begin to tell of my fury with the unmitigated gall and hubris of McConnell and Boehner. At least with Harry Reid I know he hates everything I believe in and stand for. Boehner and McConnell could give Judas Iscariot lessons on how to betray with a kiss (hyperbole of course, but merited).

True enough, MammaBC, but then again, they're trying to appeal to enough people to get elected. To do that, they've got to have people like us, people even more to the right than us, and all the way to the left including so-called "moderate republicans" and "independents" that Joseph McCarthy would have had on his list to investigate for communist subversion by the standards of the 1950s. You've got to get elected before it matters what you believe or want or intend to do. Then you've got to stay in office long enough to accomplish anything. Looks to me like we've got so many people enfranchised who are so dumbed down and so enamored of free stuff that an honest man can't get elected if he's really a fiscal or a social conservative. Or, at least not enough of them can to make a difference. And so us honest folk will be obliged to hold our nose and associate with the RINOs just to keep from waking up in a socialist (non) worker's paradise any sooner than absolutely necessary. Yes, it SUCKS. But that's the way it is.

I understand that....but I am most seriously ticked off at the GOP. I took no vows to them. If they are the best game in town then I will do what I must. But if something better comes along.....the Whig party died once too. R's should remember that while they are screwing over their constituents.
