As I tell my fellow Texans that get irritated with Virginia. Virginia was the orginial Texas. Many of the famous Texans that they know and love started out their life in Virginia.

If we reduce DC down to a better level (say pre 9-11 levels) we will reduce the number of carpet baggers here in VA.

Davy Crockett reportedly said this to his former constituents after he lost his re-election bid for the House of Representatives "You can all go to hell, I’m going to Texas".

If we could reduce the federal bloat and get rid of half of the NoVa YAHOOOS, our line could then be: "Y'ALL go to hell, I'm staying in Virginia. I reckon that would suit me fine and be good enough for them. Hope I live to see it.

Sam Houston's was who I was thinking of primarily, but there were several others as I remember.
