I have the same problem but only with certain ammo. The aguila does it out of all my .45s. I've got a Baby Eagle that slings brass about 20 feet out as it is. And all the necks get pinched just like the ones in the pic. The aguila doesnt get chucked forward of the firing line but it does seem to go elsewhere from other cartridges. And it only happens to about 25% of them. I'm wondering if they might be heavy loads and arent getting out of the way of the slide cause its slamming back and coming forward too fast. Maybe thats why they get pinched and slung forward.

I have a set of 33s that i bought with my F-250 in '94 - use them in the cool seasons -and this fall two of them got blisters and the treads separated. I got to thinking about getting rid of them,and it occurred they might make good backstops for shooting. So I did, and they did... I cut each tire into six pie sections with a sawzall, then nest them together for the backstop. Factory .45ACP 230gr balls will go thru 3 layers and stop against the 4th. Easy cleanup for recycling, I've put 300+ rds into the first set and they're still holding up. If a slug sticks in the tire, no prob, the next one will push it through.
Wouldn't recommend shooting reduced loads at this...

Update on the tire bullet trap - approaching 1000 rds, and the first three layers have pretty much disintegrated. Two problems, I'm getting more accurate, which results in more hits in a given area, and shooting them at freezing temps tends to make the rubber shatter. Seems to be a summer setup...

Spent the afternoon target shooting with my mom.
That's right - my mother. Before you say "Do what?!" - She's 70+ and quite the independent lady.
I had put together a tire trap for her this past Christmas, and today's mild temps were the perfect opportunity to try it out. Shooting cast reloads in .38 and .45, and going at it elbow to elbow with MkIIIs.

Had my first FTF in over 600 rds with the Lee TL2R, it nosedived into the mag... I'm wondering if that was me, on the reloading end, or just chance. I know that profile is prone to problems in the XD, but I thought I had worked it out - I'll be watching tho. The Lee 230gr 1R is still running flawless since I figured out the proper seating depth.

Finished up with her busting gallon milk jugs full of water with some factory .357 HPs.
I don't care who you are - that's gratifying!
