I'll keep going as my wife loves the place. More importantly, I'm not going to penalize the company for the idiots on our side, and they didn't change their policy too drastically.

The Pit restaurant in Durham left its patrons defenseless while an armed robbery too place Sunday (5-18-14). The reason staff and employees were defenseless was because the owner of the restaurant prohibits weapons in his establishment. As a result concealed carry, or open carry, weapons owners could have been in a position to protect themselves and others from the criminals.

Doesn't help that the restaurant is about two blocks from the old Durham Bulls Athletic Park, a rather high crime section of Durham. Having grown up not far away from there and attending many Bulls game at the old park, having a "no guns" sign there is an invitation for robbery.

There must not have been a sign on the back door,im sure if the criminals saw it,they would have went somewhere else.

I think it's a simple fact that YOU CAN DO SOMETHING BECAUSE OF A RIGHT, but do you do it to BE right?

Hey! I carry in the woods all day every day. Big ole' nasty EBR's (Evil Black Rifles). Because 911 ain't gonna be so efficient ("Yeah, walk 2 miles on the trail, take a left at the boulder by the sage oak...)

However, I use the Bruce Lee philosophy of "Be like water my friend". I'm on an internet forum to get my rants out... otherwise? I generally temper my sayings with humor, and get through situations fairly clean without leaving a wake in my trace.

I ain't here to be a martyr. I'm here for the long haul... When everything is said and done, and I'm in my cabin in the hills, growing my veggies, hunting my deer, rabbit, and birds... and dying a quiet peaceful way.

So I like carrying concealed. I practice drawing, I also practice keeping other's hands off of it.

Carry a weapon is just 1/4 of it. You have to know the laws, be trained properly, and have the fortitude to use it.

Any part of that quarter system fails? You're screwed brotha!
