I need a running buddy too. It gets lonely trudging around by myself and my internet radio on the phone.

Great writing. I was unable to join the SEALS due to a prior injury. I ended up joining the Army. They have a dive program (00B).
Go Army!

A dissenting view point.
I haven't read ALL of the posts concerning your article so this may already have been said. I think you have made an excellent decision MuShu. If what college has to offer isn't what you are passionate about, if it's not where you're headed in life, if it's not something that you are determined to MAKE happen the way you are about the Navy Seal Team then college may not be for you.
Some of us NEED to be part of something bigger than ourselves and though a college education may be a stepping stone for some of us it may not be for all of us.
Stick to your plan MuShu. Make the Seal Team happen for you. You may, at a later date, see value in continuing your education but until then stick to your plan.
Success isn't defined by following the masses. If it was we would ALL be successful. It is those who pursue their life plan with passion and determination, those who will not be denied their goals that are successes in life.
Also remember that those who dare to rise above the crowd will have tomatoes thrown at them. Don't listen to naysayers.
You can do this my friend. You are an inspiration. Go make it happen.
