@marc - No, the problem is that the solid frame is immobile against the spine, coccyx, and if you fall (say on ice) or are shoved hard against a pillar, the frame of the gun is against your lower back and won't flex like the rest of your back. It puts a bunch of pressure on the spine as well as discs. There's also printing, bending over, sitting, etc. to consider. Falling is a luck/technique/health/environmental/etc thing and people get plenty hurt even without solid metal pressed against the lower back and carrying no load (like groceries, children, etc). Like I said, might want to reconsider - it's a preference thing. No harm in pro/con opinions.

Roger that.

I see your points. They are valid and good.

My brother in law carries in a fanny pack, turned to the front. The way he wears his clothes, it's not even noticable.
It occurs to me, having been climbed on by children myself, that ANYWHERE you put it is likely to be a cause of discomfort. I don't say this to discourage you, understand, just don't be surprised if the perfect option doesn't show up.
Although, I hope that it does, of course.

Went with a belt pack today. Worked well enough. No back pain this evening. Had to cart a tantruming toddler out of Walmart (I got to be the one everyone looked at today---sigh), but I was able to do so with ease while holding the baby. So if my back does not go out in the next few days I might have a new casual carry.

Here is an article for you that I found.
Holsters for Women. Stop Telling Me My Choices Suck!
“I don’t mind living in a man’s world as long as I can be a woman in it.” – Marilyn Monroe
I generally avoid ranting on any of my blog posts. However, being an Internet blogger means I get to break the rules a little bit. Like being able to start a sentence with like and and. So, I’m going to go ahead and skate on thin ice here, break the rules and write about something that has been chapping my hide lately.
In the past few weeks, I have been reading some men’s opinions on the proper way for women to conceal a gun. Most of the comments—on my personal blog and on other’s Facebook pages—have read something like this:
