Rye? Stuff puts hair on your taint. Got some 10 Y Whistle Pig in the cabinet but it doesn't get much visitation. When it does it certainly gets a few cubes.
Cracked a bottle of Woodford 4 Wood yesterday and did a side by side with their double oaked. 4 Wood with an ice cube hands down. Always have some makers in the stable.

Got all the guns locked up (except one) and sitting here with a crystal glass of 18 year old McCallens single malt Scotch Whiskey.

Do to me current Jalapeno addiction, a half gallon of 1% milk a day and a lot of water.
I've just graduated to adding 2 (less than an ounce) habaneros to my pound of sliced jalpenos. That, approximately, triples the heat of the jalapenos on my nachos.

The stuff is fantastic and distilled just up the road in Sperryville.

If you typed "Do" and meant "Due"; that's Ok. Long as you didn't mean "Doo".

I'm drinking canned water from Harris Teeter. Should I expect to be jackbooted by ABC agents?

Thanks for the tip jdonovan. I haven't had a glass of rye in quite some time. I'll have to make a stop at the ABC so I can enjoy a proper Old Fashioned tonight. For now, coffee will have to do.
And Rev, I would definitely suggest you give Rye a taste. I love Bourbon, maybe too much, but Rye has a cool unique character. It's bolder, and spicier? than Bourbon or regular American whiskeys.

I second the cool/smooth difference, I also find it a touch sweeter.

Canned water? You mean really in an aluminum can like beer? Don't think I've ever seen water in a can.

Yeah, they make it. Mostly for 12 oz soda machines, I think.
I guess it was outside the experience of the ABC guys too.

I just assumed the water in the Great Charlottesville Beer Bust case was in plastic bottles.

Typically its Ketel One with a touch of club soda. But I do like a good Whiskey now and then.
I don't do to much beer anymore. I get all bloaty and gassy. Wife does not appreciate it.
I may have to pick up some of that rye and give it a sip.

duster:
Vodka, tomato juice, horseradish, a splash of worcestershire, a little bit of salt and pepper, and in lieu of tabasco, use Sriracha.
Right now, I am drinking:

More "bite", what some would call "spicy". Also essential for a proper Manhattan if you're into cocktails.
I don't drink much (I'm too cheap), so a bottle of good stuff lasts me for ages.
