Considering that Putin has re-started the undeclared Cold War and snubbed the US over the Snowden affair, the idea that FEMA or any other agency would sign any agreement with Russia is proof of the dangerous naiveté of the Obama regime.

Sorry, TM, but your title for the posting is misleading and inflammatory, and does not capture the actual content or main idea of the story. I can watch MSNBC or Fox for this degree of spin.

Big difference between the common practice of exchanging emergency management specialists and an occupation or invasion.

I don't trust the government, either, but I *try* to limit my distrust to credible topics. This isn't one.

Hello j1mmyd,

I am sorry that the title is misleading. That was not the intention. I am fully capable of admitting that I could have made it better.

I appreciate your opinion. I also appreciate that you were able to express it without hurling insults and what not. So thank you.

In my opinion I believe this is a credible topic, only in so much as, there is chance for abuse. Ever since the NDAA was put into place I am worried about not just what the letter of the law states but the meaning between the lines. What I want is a way that we the people can effectively stop something like this if it gets out of hand.

The problem is that 'exchange of information' is vague, and can be loosely applied to and actual meeting of the minds which I am all for, or to hey we are having problems at this event. We are inviting the experts and 1000 of his men to exchange information, train, and also help us out during the event, so that we can learn how they do it real time. As with anything it can be abused. However, I worry about opening doors that make it difficult for us to close.

Again I thank you for your civil discussion on this topic, and I am sorry about the title I will try to be more mindful of it in the future.

Have a great day!

Look we all know (those of us that pay attention) Obama wants to get the U.S. into the U.N. anyone think thats a good idea? The signing of the agreement could easily be viewed as a "see we play well with others" call to the U.N.

"...get the US into the UN."? The UN is already in "us" (UNHQ, NYC) We're a founding member and one of five veto-wielding Security Council permanent members. I think we're well past that part, brother.

Damn straight we're well past that part. IMO, we are so far past it that it is high time we got the US OUT of the UN, and gave the UN 90 days to get that damned nest of spies out of the US. Pzz on 'em and a mile around'em!

I concur with Dorm. Considering the the UN hasn't done anything worthwhile in over 50 years.

Puts countries with a history of torture on the human rights council

Props up terrorist organizations against legitimate governments...

I say boot them to Belgium in the old NATO headquarters, and turn the UN building into condos.
