Why would they want to stop the Boston bombings? That's their justification for "keeping us safe".

Pearl Harbor and 9/11 were all allowed to happen for a reason...you don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

You actually believe the official narratives on either incident?

Never let a tragedy go to waste did not originate with Rahm Emanuel you know.

The British did a similar thing with Coventry for example. See also the Lusitania or the USS Maine.

The powers that be love tragedies since its carte blanche to do what they want. Something like Operation Northwoods shows the level they'd go to get them.

I have no doubt the British missed no chances to propagandize on anything that happened in the dark days of WWII. It is easier to kill people if you consider them to be cruel savages. And I also am aware that the Maine probably blew up because of a fire in its coal bunkers. FDR wasn’t the first Roosevelt to maneuver the US into a war that initially had no public support, I agree.

Pearl Harbor might possibly have been cynically and callously allowed to happen, or it may have been arrogance and incompetence compounded by ignorance. Either way, there is little doubt that other diplomatic actions pretty much forced Japan to either fight us or submit to us.

But I do not believe that 9-11 would have been intentionally allowed to happen. That one, I think, was clearly arrogance and incompetence compounded by ignorance; not to mention a completely unjustified set of warm fuzzy attitudes toward the “religion of peace”. That 9-11 was taken full advantage of to avoid a half-assed, politically hog-tied disaster like Viet Nam is patently true. But then how else can any politician keep a titular democracy (particularly one as polluted by limp-wristed liberal/pacifism as ours) on a war footing long enough to do anything but get his ass beat? And besides, I think it was sincere in most quarters.
