I'd guess that things would settle down when that becomes clearer as being less hostile.

I think the gun community as a whole does not see any legislation to ban modern sporting rifles likely to pass. Heck they can't even get a bill to the floor. Gun control is political suicide. You have all the polling data in the world that says the majority supports a AWB but the fact is most won't vote on it and gun owners will and they know it.

Agreed that tjere is a diminishing chance in it, yet here we are seeing 2-3x the price for arms, reloading compoment availability issues, presses are sold out, ammo being rationed, NICS volume still high. People are taking tax returns to buy stuff. Isn't this still saying something?

The gun grabbers are not dragging their feet as much as they are just waiting. No legislation from Congress will be needed after the next Sandy Hook or Aurora Theater shooting. The President's Executive Order will suffice.

I wonder how expensive an AR will be once it's illegal?

People are buying things because they're prepping, they're not scared. They're waiting on the other shoe to drop, they're waiting on the Admin to YET AGAIN take another bite of civil liberties...

But if all is said, and done?

Prices in a year, or so will be ridiculously low. Because NO ONE will be buying them!

Or so expensive because no one can buy them new. The uncertainly has driven the price and things have cooled down because the gun-control debate has quieted down. However, as they introduce these bills in April, prices may go back up...or not.

It will take a few months after the gun-control debate goes away (assumption) before prices might return to normal.

Yup, as soon as we can put all this anti stupidity to bed ,prices will come down to normal again.... Panic driven sales are making some rich and I would bet a lot of them are the very politicians trying to take your guns away...

Got no reply to my email (which was to orders at quantico arms dot com). But I called the Woodbridge store and was told they were all out.

Call the Quantico store, they had several when I got mine. The two stores do not communicate with each other and do not have the same inventory. Good luck!!

Just an update: They're sold out at the Quantico store, too. They do have a couple assembled Rock River lowers, but I can't swing a purchase that big without my wife knowing about it. :cray:

Guess I'll just have to wait like everybody else.

What were they asking for the RRA lowers?

Not meant to be a thread hijack...

I think the same may be said for a lot of magazines as well. While locally, the price of PMAGs may still be in the ludicrous range (e.g. Superior Pawn & Gun VA Beach, just about any gun show these days), online sites that frequent PMAGS have prices that appear to be dropping. Just saw a lot of 5 go for $115.

It may be that supply is starting to catch up with demand. For example, I ordered BX25 magazines directly from Ruger at the end of January, and they just shipped yesterday. Or it could be that we figured out that we bought so much stuff in support of the End of the Gun World As We Know It, we're either out of money, out of credit, or both.

At any rate, keeping patience and convincing yourself not to be in a rush to buy the next "soon to be banned" item will serve you well.

Hang in there...

Don't recall exactly. I think it was the $335-$350 range. As soon as I heard the first digit in the price, my brain turned off because I knew I couldn't afford it...

Sorry, I go by there all the time, when they get some more back in I will send you a PM. They also sell their PMags for $12.95 each. They get them in rather regularly.

Palmetto State Armory has lowers for $119. In stock at the moment. Of course with shipping and FFL, it might be much of a deal anymore.
