That being said didn't the first women just get dropped from the Officer Infantry Course at Quantico not too long ago?
yep, two volunteered and one didn't pass the CET and the other didn't last a week. To be fair though, lots of men were in the same boat. In fact, the TBS honor grad and the Gung-Ho award winner didn't make it more than a few days. No women volunteered from the next TBS class and there are two who will attend IOC from the class on board now. The commandant (according to a news report) has met the two and he noted, "They look to be in great shape."

Just as long as the standards aren't lowered - it's supposed to be tough. Infantry leaders need to be able to endure great physical and mental stress, and in the Marine Corps, the best get infantry and combat arms schools from TBS.
