If it's for your wife, make sure she can handle the trigger pull on a revolver. I have a Taurus 94 (4" barrel), and the trigger on it is so heavy that I almost need both index fingers to pull it in double action. Be warned.

It may be junk - I don't know & am no expert on this stuff - but this guy's work seems to be well done, it makes sense to me, and it is easy to understand. IMHO, if you want to carry a .22, go for it.
