Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

To be perfectly honest I don't hate non-whites, I hate the effect they collectively have had in creating a special interest society at the expense of white Americans.

To be further honest I blame white liberals and industrialists for helping them do it.

I consider forced integration this nations first foot in the grave. The fact it was literally forced at gun-point and with lawsuits should tell you volumes about how welcome it was...and this was not just in the old Confederacy states. It cannot be a coincedence its been all downhill from there.

This country is huge and rich enough in resources to essentially be capable of the holy grail of isolationism; autarky. There was always enough to go around for anyone willing to work for it, but that wasn't good enough, disparate peoples had to be forced to live and work alongside one another whether they wanted to or not.

Thats just not respectful of freedom.


Also, please keep in mind the racism directed against whites is far from "hardly veiled"; its aggressively in our faces day in day out. Blame us for getting pissed too?

Cowboy T, the only time I see race brought up in this forum it is usually brought up by one of the more liberal members of the board. Usually it is used to insinuate racism or outright accuse another person of racism....I don't call people bad names, even those I think wish to destroy the country I love.

The amount of melanin in our presidents skin matters not one whit to me. What mattered to me were his policies which I think will be disastrous not matter if he was lily white or green with purple pokadots. There is truely only one race any way, th human kind.

I am just tired of hearing about bottoms and bottom balm, and all the varied connotations that might have. If you get tired of hearing something or find something crass you are free to say so.

And that's why I'd asked moderators here--even Rick himself--to rein people in when they'd go off on their mean-spirited "Michelle Obama = Chewbacca/Chewbiatcha" rants. Wasn't done; indeed, that behaviour got stepped up and encouraged, and I'd hope you'd agree with me that this behaviour should be considered unacceptable. Criticize the policies, yes, but not the person's physical appearance.

And this sort of thing isn't new, sadly. A couple of years ago, Rima Fatih, a beautiful American woman of Lebanese descent (her family moved here to escape persecution when she was younger) won the Miss USA pageant. What was she called on this board? "Miss Shiite Muslim America", and dripping with scorn. Folks posted pictures of previous White winners either insinuating or straight-up claiming that we needed to go back to "real American", i. e. White, women.

Sadly, yes, that mindset does infect this forum. I wish it didn't. You spoke of your observation that the only time race is brought up, it's by Liberals. Unfortunately, the only time I ever hear "secession" brought up, it's by Confederacy-worshipers, Klan sympathizers, members of white-supremacist sites like StormFront, etc. Yes, I will heap scorn upon that "AAAA!! WE NEED TO SECEDE!!!1!!!" mentality, because we've been there already. It's the same mentality that the Romney supporters at Ole Miss recently used to start that riot. Truly shameful. And that's why I laugh with scorn at such stupidity, and I'd hoped that others here would also view that entire ridiculous mindset with equal scorn. Because that's what it deserves--scorn.

That is almost to the T what I said Dormin, when I was asked about it. I was silly and posted this post on general discussion cause I did not think to look at the other threads... but here is what I was saying.

I won't go into whether I think one is right or wrong, but it is their right to petition. I think those people who are petitioning or calling for the signers of the petition to be stripped of their constitutional rights, and deported.

I would love to see what they would have to say if say a conservative passed a bill and they petitioned to have it dismissed, if people wanted to strip their rights and deport them. It seems to me that we share a common interest in guns, owning guns, and protecting the right to own guns. Should we not welcome open discussion from all gun owners truly interested in a fruitful discourse?

• One of the things my father taught me growing up is the major difference between children and adults is that the latter understand there are consequences to their actions. My point? If you sling racist comments - especially thinly veiled ones - there will be fallout sooner or later. People remember that stuff, and will be in defensive mode. That's just reality.

• Come on, after all the other images that have been posted to the forum, one image gets all of your boxers and panties in a bunch? Opening the door for that kind of "humor", then slamming it in someone's face because you don't agree with the sentiment, is immature.

As to the secession requests - yes, the idea of secession is kind of silly, but I understand the frustration. That said, maybe these states need to elect the right folks. As long as we remained tied to a two party system, that won't happen. Posting it right after the election also seems knee-jerk pouty, "I'm taking my marbles home." The right time to have done the petitions would have been after the NDAA was signed again, or when Obama said Due Process was out the window and started droning citizens, or when Obamacare was passed, or when any number of the executive orders he's signed took place.

Ok I grew up a good long time in California, and I was very very liberal for a time. I have seen both sides of the fence. Liberals hate conservatives, Conservatives hate them liberals. What I do know is "Confederacy - worshipers" is a derogatory term. Might as well call them slave loving crackers. What you say, your words mean a lot, I know a lot of my generation, and the coming generation do not understand this. You cannot complain about racism, name calling, and the like, while doing the same yourself and be considered anything but a racist and hypocrite.

I am a half Japanese, quarter Irish, and quarter Cherokee Indian. I am very pale skinned and I have green eyes. I have lived with both sides of the racism card. Japanese people don't consider me Japanese in Japan, cause I look to white, have lighter hair and green eyes. I got teased and called names. On base I was not safe either (you would think otherwise as base has a lot of mixed kids, and this was Alaska), kids would say I could not play cause I was "Yellow" and they did not like to have "Japs" play. My mother full Japanese had to deal with the worst kind of racism, where she was denied jobs, and otherwise harassed attacked. I have been harassed bye the "minority" African American, "majority" white, and "minority" Latin American people, why because I am White/Asian in their eyes in all parts of this country. Does this make me bitter? No, but it does help me to understand first hand that racism is. I have lived it, almost all my life. You know what those people are who are racist IGNORANT.

When you start calling people names like "Confederacy Worshipers" you are calling just that names. Reverse racism is still racism. Just cause it is ok, in society to be mean to white people cause they are not considered minorities does not make it right in any light, in any world. Just because there are less of a certain kinda of people in ethnicity "minorities" does not mean that the "majority" people should be picked on.

Again you speak of a mindset that infects this forum, however, you don't see for yourself what your words do and say. You just equated those very people that you call "confederacy worshipers", Klan sympathizers, and members of white-supremacist sites. Again, you do not agree with the secession wishes but does it do your heart good to call those that want it negative names? I don't see any good coming of it.

I would think we are all adult enough here to know that just because some one signs a petition/s, that they are not all Racists that want all African Americans thrown in chains. I think we are all adult enough here to know that just because some (I am pointing at you Cowboy) have racial/racism views that differ from ours, that not all people who look like you, come from the same background as you, and speak like you believe every white male/female on this forum is a freaking slave loving white supremacist.

I hope and pray that you consider what you are saying. What I am tired of is the gloating. Before the election there were tweets and posts about starting riots, and killing white people if Romny won. Now that the opposition won, they don't win gracefully what do they do, they gloat, tell us to put butt cream on our asses, show pictures of people drinking tears of Republicans in victory, and basically flaunting it in our faces. Those mf'rs need to grow the frack up. They would throw a fit/loot/kill if they lost, but now that they have won, and the people not voting for their pick are upset understandably and they tell them to stop bitching cause they lost. Hell I don't see any of your "Confederacy Worshipers" or KKK lovers out there looting and shooting up the town. Think about it.

Another note and personal experience:
You know who I have found are the most understanding/forgiving/loving people are... Southerners, real southerners... they accept who you are, what you are, and move on. Who the hell cares is their mind set. If you ain't bothering me... This is just my experience. You know who seemed to have been the worst racists both ways, Northern Big City people. I have moved around a lot, lived in a lot of places, and have had the luck of dealing with some of the worst and best people in my life.

I will be able to use my "Southern Grace", and be a gracious person.

The funny thing about the "Liberals" on this site? They forget that there was another time when people talked about seceding... The LIBERALS screamed about it after BUSH won a SECOND TERM!

To explain to those NOT born, and bred in the South.

South Carolina was the state that left because of a desire to keep slavery. Virginia left because of the oppressive Federalism that was rearin' it's ugly head. Even NEW YORK talked of secession. So it wasn't 100% about SLAVERY! Contrary to what you learned in Socialistic Schools where you're from originally!

However, once Grant, and Sherman were done with the South, and burned Richmond to the ground, generation upon generation of Southern born folk have an immediate distrust of big government, and Federalist mentality.

When the Reconstruction included many from the "Federalist Mentality" AKA "Carpet baggers" Who came to do nothing but take advantage of a disadvantaged people, we grew to distrust anyone who came seeking profit, or "relief" from another state.

What we cannot tolerate are those who chide us, and treat us like "unintelligent children" as if they had some wisdom that their culture passed along.

The "Come Heres" who were a later development were those that discovered a genteel mannerism in Southern Culture, a streak of self-respect for doing it right the first time, and the ability to do it for one's self, took to it, and embraced it. Those of us born, and bred Southerners like "Come-heres".

As I told a Carpetbagger once, "You can believe your talent is better than mine, but an example of a useless talent is a Concert Pianist stuck in the middle of the Amazon jungle. What f'cking good does it do him there?"

And that is the same thought process in the political arena. Whatever worked in another region probably has been TRIED here in the past 200 YEARS of this country being around... You're not "Special" enough to have a different result.

Reverenddel - what if you were raised with no home to call your own, since you moved every few years thanks to a father in the military, but you chose to live in Virginia? What if it has been your home for [umm, a long time] and you'd choose to live in no other state? (Well, until we have kids and the wife may decide we need to move back to her home state of MI...
