Last term I lost my job and the company sold out. Now my wife's company is struggling to keep the doors out and they are a recycling company. Under obamacare I'll have a bunch of libs telling what care I can have for what is left of my kidneys. Oh boy!
This country has been around 250 years, it's more than likely run it's course by the vote last night.
For all the vets who served and died, I'm being to wonder if it was all a big waste of time and life based on where we are today.

I am disappointed in the voting public for the choice that they have made. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised. Two states voted to legalize the recreational use of marijauana for those over 21 years of age. The gay marriage agenda was advanced on multiple fronts. This country is becoming more filthy and disgusting by the day. Indoctrination in our schools, less people following the tenets of the Bible. All I can do is take care of myself and my family to the best of my ability and teach them Faith and and provide them with a good moral compass.

"But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

This is exactly why the Republicans needed to run a candidate who actually lived up to their claimed principles, rather than settling for "the only guy who can win"...who just lost to the "worst president in history." Of course, 2016 will be "too important of an election" to do the right thing as well...

Even Obama's socialism can't change the fundemental fact of the universe that you reap what you sow.

Don't forget that the real failure here is the Republican party and it's corrupt stranglehold on the primaries. Good candidates, who believed in the Constitution, did run, but virtually none of them were selected at any level. The party is controlled by the very people who lost the Congress and the Presidency to these radical, left-wing socialists. Ironically, by doing very much the same thing as those very radical, left-wing socialists. Going back to those Republicans was NEVER going to result in victory or change. You've been duped.

Until you realize that and remove them from your party, get use to the socialism. You can not fight open statism with slightly milder statism by another name. This requires removing the Romney's, the Allen's, the Cantor's, the Wolf's, etc. If you want a restoration of the Republic, ruled by law under the Constitution, then get those people up for election and refuse to vote for statism light. Otherwise, get serious about starting or joining a third party. You can not heal the patient by drinking just a little bit less poison or watering it down just a mite.

The masses have proven that they are extremely ignorant and can't think beyond their next meal or Obamaphone. Decades of socialist indoctrination in the school system cannot be undone.

The Supreme Court is Obama's next victim. Once it falls, there's nothing he can't do. Everyday rights will disappear at alarming rates. I do not believe that we will have our guns before these next four years are up. And if you think we're in a recession now, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Well, they finally did it. They've pushed my patriotism to the breaking point. I feel like a country that would embrace Obamunism like ours did yesterday just doesn't deserve the faith, love and devotion I have always borne for it any more. It is as if I'd just discovered the love of my life was a whore. Or maybe the better metaphor is that now that I know the bus is headed for hell and that I can't get off, I don't give a crap anymore whether it runs or not. Today would be a good day to get drunk.

For such principles, they're easily watered down when it comes to putting someone on the ballot.

As you can probably imagine, I'm not taking this well...



Now we pick ourselves up and continue the fight. I will not submit to the moochers.

Like I said before. The die has been cast. It is done. The people have voted for bread and circuses....they will get both for a time, then the barbarian hordes will decend. It is a fact of life. That is what happens, again and again and again.

This election matter because though yesterday it was possible that we were past the brink, past the point of no return....it is now a definite thing today. Those of you that are cheerful and "I told you so". You will suffer with all of us so don't be too happy. This winter we will likely be well fed and warm. Next winter I am not so sure. I think there is a 50-50 shot that we will all be turning our thermostats down to 60 degrees or even lower and using alternative heat in a smaller portion of the house just to survive.

Those of you that trust in Gov't and think it will save you.....really? Look at the poor schleps in NY/NJ freezing to death right now. Those of you that love socialistic medicine....check out how that has worked out everywhere else....lethally for many.

The only thing I can think to do is to try to work locally as much as possible and to prepare my family's supplies for many long long hard winters to come.

I VALUED this country, but at this point? I don't know if I really care about any of it's citizens, just those who feel the same way.

Why should I support those diametrically opposed to anything, and everything I hold true? Why? Because it's the "high road"? Yeah, no. Pass. I'm done arguing on the internet, because it's like the special olympics, even if you win? you're still "special".

I would extend my comments a bit further to consider the emense damage that was done at the convention. A lot of young voters like Republicans like Ron Paul and Gary Johnson, etc. and even the Tea Party. However, they also took note of the outright display of party power and corruption to shutout those very grassroot organizations. The Republicans destroyed their own young support simply because it didn't fall exactly inline with the existing neo-con desires.

Putting a candidate on the ballot that better expresses the party principles is just half the issue. The other half is that the country is changing. For better or for worse, we have different demographics than we did just 30 years ago. If your party fails to relate to those changing demographics then you'll continue to lose elections.

Republican consultant Mike Murphy says the Republican party needs to have an internal conversation on which way the party is going to go. If it's going to continue down the Tea Party road and further social conservatism than it's going to be tough to win over a younger, more diverse elecorate.

“There will be some kind of war,” predicted Mike Murphy, a longtime Republican Party consultant, suggesting it would pit “mathematicians” like him, who argue that the party cannot keep surrendering the votes of Hispanics, blacks, younger voters and college-educated women, against the party purists, or “priests,” as he puts it, who believe that basic conservative principles can ultimately triumph without much deviation.

“We are in a situation where the Democrats are getting a massive amount of votes for free,” Mr. Murphy said.

As a party, Republicans continue to depend heavily on older working-class white voters in rural and suburban America — a shrinking percentage of the overall electorate — while Democrats rack up huge majorities among urban voters including blacks, Hispanics and other minorities. Not to mention younger Americans who are inclined to get their political news from Comedy Central and will not necessarily become more conservative as they age. The disparity means that Democrats can get well under 50 percent of the white vote and still win the presidency, a split that is only going to widen in the future.

So the way I see it the Republican Party can either shift its platform to better align with the electorate of 2012, or it can try a nationwide campaign to try and move the moral and belief compass back towards the Republican/Tea Party way of thinking. If not, it could go the way of the Whig Party.
