A granola munching vegan Libertarian survivalist (don't ask) I know told me alot about HFC and on a whim I took his advice and cut it out of my diet 100% (not easy), I lost 7lbs in about two months while not changing my eating habits otherwise or exercising more from my current activity level of corpse.
It was an easy way to slim down a bit.

So how do you know that the 7 pounds you lost was a result of not consuming the HFCS rather than just not consuming the calories that would have been in the food that contained that HFCS? If you say you consumed the same calories, what in the world did you substitute? (I really need to know that)
My information is that all the authoritative studies come down the same way: Fructose is fructose. Fructose, by the way, is "fruit sugar". Comes from honey, tree and vine fruits, flowers, berries, and most root vegetables. You can also get it from treating corn sugar with enzymes to concentrate the fructose. That's where that ominous acronym the food Nazis scare the sheeple with comes from: "HFC" or "HFCS" Stands for High Fructose Corn Sweentener".
By the way, treating grain-based beverages with enzymes to enhance their desireable qualities is not a new and dangerous practice. Brewers have been doing it since prehistory. The starches extracted from grains were converted BY ENZYMES to sugars which were then fermented to make every drop of beer you ever drank. Of course, when you get right down to it, maybe BEER caused an ancient "obesity epidemic". Can you imagine a world where there waS NO SUCH THING AS A "BEER GUT"? do you even want to?
Personally I think those food Nazis are so disapproving of everything because their overtight anuses keep them constipated.
