I am sure charges will be dropped, as any worthwhile lawyer will see to that. Only the arrest will still will go on his record and can be seen anytime a background check is done on him. Shame on him if he did it, but at the same time, you'd think the police would have better things to do...

If the charges are dropped, he can have them expunged. If he has a decent lawyer and if he is indeed innocent, he should force the expungment issue, then sue the pants of the F'burg police department.

If I were to fart in the general direction of a cop, how many years or thousands in court and attorney costs would that get me?

In the case of a silent but deadly will the ATF get involved for use of an unregistered silencer?

I give it a month, two at most before some poor bastard does this, either accidentally (reckless endangerment?) or on purpose (ASSault of a police officer?).
