I'm a one woman man. First off, just the way I am wired. Second, I would want to ensure the genetic pool doesn't just run from my loins only. Third, women end up syncing menstrual flow, and I don't want a house full of hormones and blood every month attracting the zombies.

Side note - I created http://www.wwzrt.com/ (World Wide Zombie Response Team) blog for fun with my friends, but we all got wrapped up with real life. I'm always looking for people to write up anything for the site. Let me know, I'll authorize your account as an author, and publish away. :) It's just for fun- I don't get any revenue or anything else than a good laugh and some good conversation over beer with the friends.

Ah, all I was referring to was a big meeting the group held about a certain topic. The entire group, with the exception of Andrea, goes against him. He gets very upset, and they basically tell him to shut up and deal with it. He walks out and says " I dont want to be a part of this"

DAMN STRAIGHT, Diomed! I was gonna reply to Kreutz and tell him the minute he passed me...uh, I mean... any right-thinking fat gimpy guy, a double-kneecap job would render him an ubergimp and HE'd be zombie chum. But you beat me to it.

Would this be considered preparing for a zombie apocalypse?

It's my 100 yard zombie themed personal range & camp.

Image

I have the zombie targets spread at 10, 25, 50 and 100 yards.
The torso is 3/4" oak plywood with 7" paper plates stapled to the face as cheap and easy to replace targets. Most torsos last at least a couple months of casual shooting before they are completely shot to hell. The 100 yard zombie has a 3/8" steel plate head so he should last a good while longer. His neck looks like a pile of toothpicks though.

The outhouse is a facade with a dirt barrel backstop behind the head/chest area.
The wooden headstones and toxic waste barrel double as platforms to sit cans, pumpkins or anything else we plink at.
The kids love it.

It's all still a work in progress with more added weekly but it's fun.

I had mixed feelings about Dale. Every group needs an opposing viewpoint, but the way he went about it was annoying as hell.

Oh, and the woman with the short hair has to go too.

And that little brat in the Air Cav hat? Tie him to a stake out in a field and cut him.

Well, since I don't own any land to prepare a safe hideout just in case SHTF, the place that I would commandeer would be a Sam's Club. Minimal entry points that would be easy to barricade and defend. You would have access to electric generators, gasoline (from Sam's Club gas station). There would be plenty of food and water supply to get you through until you can organize search parties and rendezvous with other survivors. You can patrol the perimeter from the roof. If it all goes down, this would be an ideal place to establish a base camp until a long term location can be secured. All you should need is to gather several people with whom you can trust that are also armed, supplied, and proficient in weaponry. Last but not least...

Make a bunch of these and place them throughout the parking lot.

It will save you on your ammo supply!
