
Just added a Rock Island Armory 1911 Tactical in 9mm. Should I keep the original smooth wood grips or go with the black rubber Novak grips? Any thoughts?
I agree. I love the look of the wood in contrast to the firearm. However, I prefer textured grips (detractor from the stock grip). I don't have a black on black 1911. It gives it a stealthy look and feel (being textured also is a plus). The wood grips look is classic. I purchased the grips on eBay. Since installing them, I have found that it "opens the door" for people interested in talking about gun ownership and open carry. I have yet to encounter (*knock on wood*) any negative anti's.Peel2Seal wrote:Where did you get those sweetheart grips?
My father in law makes / made (he hasent made any in a while) those and sells them on ebay and gunbroker.
