FFL Transfer Fee for Retail Unethical?

Ive never ever paid a transfer fee when buying a gun from a LGS. The transfer fee is from one FFL to another, not from the primary FFL to the consumer....

I would steer clear of these unethical prix.

I've purchased most of my firearms from "brick & mortar" retail shops...never paid a FFL Transfer Fee for a firearm over the counter retail in-stock purchase...and that back ground check fee (as another poster mentioned) $2.00. I don't dicker when faced with a MSRP price tag (they have to make a living & there's a fair margin in that price for the retailer), but neither will I pay 1 penny over MSRP.

Unethical?

Hardly. But this is how a free market works. If you don't like the retailers policies, then you spend your money elsewhere. Perhaps the retailer figures out why the customers are going away, perhaps not. If they fix the problems then they can succeed, if not then they can't stay in the market.
